Went to KC for the weekend and stopped at this place on the first night there. We had a blast!!
My 1st time here! Just out celebrating a friend's birthday and I'm glad we came here. The food was GOOD AND YUMMY 🤤. bartender Avi was Awesome. She has great hospitality and she's very good at what she does. I love the Jerk wings and the loaded potatoes are HUGE.. Lots of TVs to enjoy any sporting event. And DAILY HAPPY HOUR DEALS ON FOOD AND DRINKS until 7p🍸🍹🍻.. In the heart of downtown KC.
This was my first time visiting, and from the moment I walked in until the moment I left, everything was perfect! The atmosphere was welcoming, the staff was friendly, and the service was excellent. I hate that I forgot our waitress’s name because she was absolutely wonderful so sweet, attentive, and always checking to make sure everything was good.

Based on the reviews, AJ's Bar & Grill has a very welcoming and easygoing neighborhood-bar vibe. The atmosphere is lively but comfortable, with a family atmosphere where all people feel welcomed. The food is incredible and delicious, with a good variety on the menu. Specific meals mentioned include a chicken Philly cheesesteak that was amazing, buffalo chicken, a simple but satisfying burger and fries, and the potatoes. The owner is professional, has great hospitality, and goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels welcomed. The staff is friendly, and the cocktails are great, with a really good lemon drop. AJ's is great for watching sporting events and has Karaoke on Thursday's. The establishment is fairly new but has obvious potential.
