Hooray! A new chicken place that can go toe-to-toe with Stroud's without the wait, and live blues on weekends to boot! Our server greeted us warmly, enough so that I figured she might be an owner. I looked over the food and cocktail menus; everything looked good, but oh, they had me at Crystal hot sauce in the Cajun lemonade! Ordered the blacked chicken poboy, blacked chicken sandwich, and grilled cheese. The chicken was really delicious - made us wish we would have tried the fried chicken as well. Homemade fries and onion rings were plentiful and delicious. The band playing was really great and it was awesome to see folks up and dancing. Only tough part was getting a check due to a shift change - also was pretty warm in there, but I was by the fan so no real complaints here.

Hands down the best fried chicken in Kansas City! Everything was delicious. EVERYTHING! We went a bit overboard because, well, our eyes are WAY bigger than our stomachs. So, we had the deviled eggs, fried green tomatoes, chicken breasts, wings, legs, and thighs, along with green beans, collard greens, mashed potatoes, and biscuits.
