This spot has had several long-term restaurants over the decades. Each one great in their own way. Cru is the most recent and definitely elevates the BKS dining experience without being stuffy. Husband and I like going for happy hour or for dinner. Or both. It’s walkable from most of BKS, supports local organizations, and is owned by a BKS resident. Cru Bistro & Bottles is the most recent restaurant in a spot that has had several long-term restaurants over the decades, and it elevates the BKS dining experience without being stuffy. It is walkable from most of BKS, supports local organizations, and is owned by a BKS resident. The food is fantastic and the cocktail menu is extensive without being overly so. The wine selection is great for both wine snobs and people that just like a good Kim Crawford. Service is always great: friendly and quick and attentive. People say it is loud, but that is because people like going and have a great time with good food and drink. The menu is creative and local, and the fish is excellent. The mushroom appetizer is amazing, and many ingredients are sourced locally. The staff has excellent attitudes, and the service is prompt and very friendly. The fries are delicious, and the cocktails are unique and fun. The 1/2 price bottles of wine on Sundays and Girl Dinner special on Tuesdays are particularly awesome. The Whipped Brie appetizer is fantastic and not to be missed. The BLT comes with a large plate of food and homemade chips. The chips needed a bit more seasoning, but that is being picky. The patio is lovely, and a water bowl and fresh burrata ball were even brought out for a dog.
