Just ate at the 78th and State location. Food was delicious. I had the 8 piece whole wings special for $8.99 and side order of livers. The breading is not heavy and both the wings and livers were nice and crispy. The wife had the tenders combo and the tenders were a good size. She liked the taste and lite batter. Will definitely go back. I need to try the fish. Other customers raved about the fish. Staff were very nice and friendly. They cook your food to order so expect to wait....read full review

The restaurant Gj Fish & Chicken have fresh catfish that is flaky and fried to perfection. The fish can be sprinkled with a dust of special seasoning for a heavenly delicious taste. Fried okra, fried swai, chicken wing combo with fries and crunchy hush puppies are also on the menu. Customers say the chicken strips are the best place to get chicken and the chicken is excellent with spicy and lemon pepper taste. The 8 piece whole wings special and the tenders combo have nice lite batter and crispy breading. Family platters give alot of fish, long filets, chicken, fries, bread and coleslaw for a good. The staff are very nice and friendly and cook food to order, so expect a wait of 10-15 minute for hot food made to order. Other customers will definitely be back.
