McLain's Market North Kansas City is an amazing place with great service that impresses customers. The staff is incredibly friendly, warm, welcoming, and kind, never making anyone feel rushed, even right before closing. They genuinely care about their customers. The food is always consistent, even on the busiest of days. Menu items include the pepperjack burrito, smoked salmon on sourdough, pimento cheese and house made chips, matcha chia pudding, and some of the best cinnamon rolls in town. The pastries are light, flaky, and not overly sweet, while the bread has a wonderful texture with a fresh, homemade taste. The coffee is great, including the salted cold foam ice coffee. The bakery itself is clean, cozy, and well organized, with a display of fresh and beautifully made items. The prices feel fair for the quality. Customers are amazed by how many items are on the menu, from the bakery to the sides. The pastries and desserts are top notch. Great service like this is rare.
