I absolutely love the Q!!!! My friends and I specifically go when Josh the Wash is the DJ- he’s amazing. Great atmosphere, the staff/security team from what i’ve noticed are all very friendly and I always feel safe when I go!

Q in Kansas City is a gay bar that offers a great night out. The 1 dollar shot is surprisingly good and reasonably priced, and drinks are affordable. Music is great and the second floor is cute, with drag shows and amazing drag queens. The decoration includes disco balls on the ceiling, a gold sparkling DJ booth, gorgeous murals and a quiet speakeasy upstairs where guests can chill alone or with a friend. The back patio is massive, comfortable and warm in winter, with a centered platform for dancing without anyone caring. The vibe is nice, safe and welcoming for queer and minority joy. Customers, staff and owners are kind, respectful and fun, making it easy to make new friends. Different DJs create a unique vibe every time. The space is welcoming for allies, partners and people of all ages and races. Visitors say Q delivers a perfect vibe with quality drinks and service, and they would definitely want to visit again.
