our 2nd time here from South Dakota
the smoked turkey was incredible
burnt ends you don't even have to chew. and the slaw is unbelievable
we ate so much, then got the sampler to bring home
a must stop every time we make the 5 hour drive to KC
A total of 12 hungry guys showed up after a long day of golf. We had traveled 5+ hours to the area for a nice long weekend of brotherhood. At the time this place was chosen to eat we didn't know how bad we actually needed it !
Food was amazing. Service amazing. Scott himself came out of the back to talk to all the patrons. Ended up giving us a mini tour of the smoke sanctuary. Beyond awesome.
Bought some spicy sausage to bring home for the family.

Scott’s catered an event for our baseball team last night! There are plenty of BBQ joints in KC, but this is going to move to the top of my list! It was SO good!!

Scott's Kitchen and Catering at Hangar 29 is a popular barbecue spot that offers a variety of dishes. The menu features classic barbecue items like burnt ends, jumbo wings, and ghost pepper sausage, as well as tacos. While some dishes may not meet expectations, the ghost pepper sausage and tacos are praised for their enjoyable flavors. The service is friendly, and the staff is happy to answer questions and assist customers. The dining area can be a bit chilly, but outdoor seating is available. Scott, the owner, takes an active role in the restaurant, even giving customers a tour of the smoke sanctuary. Scott's is the place for local flavor that says something about the local bbq style. The smoke, using hickory and peach, was not overpowering but was part of the wonderful flavor that accompanied the rub and sauce. They had a brisket, burnt ends, and ribs. What a great selection of items to give you the bbq flavor of Kansas City. The owner came out and talked to us. The sides are outstanding as well. Bbq baked beans are out of this crazy world. The baked beans were legendary. The rest of the food was good. This place had some really tasty ribs. They tried the pulled pork tacos and they were very spicy but delicious. They had a breakfast menu as well. The biscuits and gravy looked really good. The smell of the smoked BBQ inside is amazing.
