The Fold is the best new restaurant in the crossroads the perfect date night spot! It’s moody and elegant, delightfully unique and welcoming. Perfect atmosphere for a special occasion or just to try something fun and new! (Not to mention the whole menu is gluten free!) love this place so much it is a must see downtown!
It was our first time at The Fold. We’ve been there before it was The Fold and loved the ambience. Our friends invited us to join them and we were so excited to see that it was the same place with a new ownership. Honestly, I really enjoyed the staff and one of the partners and interacting with them more than our previous visits. We were there for happy hour and the food that we ordered was phenomenal. The Fold is a new restaurant in the old Corvino's space. It has a similar vibe to Corvino but with a new polished twist. The restaurant has a unique menu and an all gluten free menu. The food is phenomenal, delicious, and fantastic. The menu items are unique, nicely seasoned, and beautifully presented–a feast for the eyes and the tongue. Favorite dishes include the filet special, Beef tartare, potato gnocchi, egg ravioli, gnocchi, Ribeye, crudo, and a tuna dish. The drinks are great and awesome, and there is a wonderful wine list. The bar attached to the restaurant, The Den, is also super cool and a great place to hang out. Service is spot on, just the right amount of attention and friendliness. The staff is attentive and super knowledgeable. The Fold is one of the best dining experiences in Kansas City in a long time.
