A tough day of working on a house to prepare for a sale. My S-I-L did a quick Yelp search and found the Outpost nearby with great reviews. Our party of four concluded that a great burger would hit the spot so our trek began. As we followed the directions (a little more than a mile from World's Of Fun) we found the parking lot but didn't readily find the spot until a more careful look. I mainly come here to hang out with a bunch of my friends while seeing a band that has a couple more friends in it (Viking). I tend to get there a couple hours before showtime to get a decent table and have dinner. I highly recommend the Cowboy Burrito! It's huge and very tasty! The main issue I have with this place is that they only have two bartenders serving everyone so service can be very slow and sometimes forgetful when it's packed. Great food and great service! I'm in town on business and had pulled up The Outpost on Google from the high ratings. On my way out of the hotel I asked the front desk for a recommendation and The Outpost was said to have great food. So I have it a whirl. I had the loaded nachos which were amazing and the bartenders recommendation, which was the spicy Cajun chicken wrap and waffle fries which was also very good! If I'm back in KC again I'd definitely return.
