“I’ve ignored this place over the decades, assuming it was a typical dive bar. A friend assured me the food was great and I should try it. Understatement! Believe it or not I’m a hypercritical person but I could find no fault at Michael’s. During both of my visits, everything everyone ordered was cooked and seasoned beautifully. So far I can highly recommend the Greek salad (standout among the large number of Greek salads I’ve tried), the rack of lamb and the galaktoboureko - a house-made dessert consisting mainly of a fluffy custard and phyllo dough. Even the side vegetables and rice were wonderful. The beer and wine selection was good as well and I wrote down my wine to look into buying a bottle. The many servers were extremely busy and professional and our server Amy did a helluva job. Large rack of lamb with sides, entree-sized Greek salad, two beers, wine and dessert for only $80 -which for the quality of our dinner was quite a bargain. Generic name belies quality cooking and serving! Pass it on!“

“We had dinner at Hotshots Sports Bar while passing through town. Everything was very good. The service was great, the location was easy to get to, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.
We had the meat pizza, a salad, and a sampler basket with wings, ravioli, and little tacos. All good!
The pizza had a creamy-tasting cheese, maybe Provel? Delicious!

“This place is a cute neighborhood bar and grill. The whole place was clean, including the bathroom, and the waitress was friendly and kept everyone happy. The food was good and made to order. I give it 5 stars. Btw parking seems tight but still manageable.

“Wife and I decided to hit the easy button after walking nine holes and grab lunch at Ruthie’s. Had been years since I’d eaten there, and certainly delivered! Sat on the patio overlooking the 9th hole, and bartender came to take our drink and food orders. Had the 2nd Shift Brooligan, which was a great IPA. We split a toasted ravioli app and the Crush Burger. Ravs we’re good, burger was absolute fire. Fries were hot and crispy, the way they should be!

Vegetarian options: They have a Black bean burger for the veggie in your life.“

“After a day st the zoo, we wanted someplace close by that had decent burgers/sandwiches. This place did not disappoint! Excellent burgers (huge) with great flavor. Service was also very good.
We were there on a Friday around 1:30, so it was quiet. I bet it's a happening place on the weekends!

“I have never been here, but my experience there was great. My coworkers gave me a going away dinner there. It was very nice, enlightening, elegant, and refreshing. The staff was very friendly, very nice, very helpful, and very good in treating you like you are a value ? customer. I was very pleased with the services and the owner/manger came out and introduced himself very thoughtful and very appreciative. The restrooms were clean and very sanitized. The atmosphere was settled. The mood lwas very nice and soft. This one of those places you can definitely takesomeoneon a date, date night, first date without any kids. We had a lot of fun and we were out of folks way upstairs. Just know....this place is small....other than that you will have fun. The food was good. Everyone of course had steak ?. Can get pricey but worth it. Excellent thank you ?.“

“A great little Irish Pub. Bar tender is always friendly and fun! The crowd is diverse as well as the music. Taking turns and everyone pitching in it makes for a wonderful evening. Darts, pool tables, and even a little spot to slip of and dance if you'd like. Clean bathrooms!“

“I have not noticed racial tensions there. (Any more than you might find anywhere in the StL)....There is a woman that frequents the bar who has color and appears to be well regarded. It IS a North side divey joint. They don't serve any food now outside of bar room pizza...But drink and beer prices are good and if you stay away from controversial conversation you'll get along with everyone in there. Which is probably true for let's say 75% of the corner bars in St. Louis.“

“We went there as out of towners from Indiana. We had the strip steak sandwich, with waffle fries . It was Great! Nice atmosphere , the food was really good. It was a full house , our waitress Grace was busting butt and still gave us great service. The staff was really nice. We asked for a table , then changed our minds and wanted a booth instead, and the staff still was really nice about it. I give 5 stars.“

“Outstanding visit. The bartender recommended the lunch special. I got the Wedge salad and fries. I ordered the bone in wings "hot". All outstanding. Chill atmosphere. Employees who actually care about their jobs (so refreshing). Greeted right away. Great small talk. I appreciate it, and can tell they update their oil in the fryers. This is a place that cares about the quality and preparation of food and employs good industry people.

“Right on the lake, with patio and inside seating. The food was good, but got great service. Staff saw I had a Notre Dame shirt on and switched the channel on the patio TV to the Notre Dame football game for me.
Plenty of choices in wraps, burgers and sandwiches. Kids menu available.
Diablo burger ws OK. Kids enjoyed chicken strips and Quesadilla.“

“Food was fantastic it's off the main path of the 44 x 141 intersection. Often being missed by a hill in the way but it is a great place it has booths for family's and a bar for the couples and singles to mingle. Very respectful and super helpful workers. Didn't feel out of place when coming with my kids and often covistors enjoys making faces and interacting with the kids. Very comfortable and inviting and will definitely be back.“

“The Banquet room was clean, cool, roomy and friendly atmosphere for our Private reception after a funeral. Ashley, event coordinator was responsive and pleasant to work with. Jennifer was our bartender/server that day and did a wonderful job getting everyone's drinks and buffet table stocked with their abundance of food choices from their Banquet Menu. Food was excellent and exactly as ordered. Well Done Firehouse!!! We'll be back in person or with future receptions or parties. Highly recommend.“
