“The Hawthorne Inn is one of the best restaurants just outside of the St. Louis area. My boyfriend and I make the drive out from St. Charles, MO. The service is always exceptional, and the food is absolutely amazing. I’ve never had a dish I didn’t like. Their house salad is one of my favorites. The prices for the quality and portion sizes are very reasonable as well. Perfect place for dates, special occasions, or any occasion at all, as their menu offers a wide variety from soups & salads, sandwiches, pizza, pasta, and various dinner entrees.”

“We took a friend who wanted Mexican food out to dinner. None of us had been to this particular restaurant before. Based on the reviews, we chose this one—and we were not disappointed. Landon our server greeted us as we entered. He provided great service throughout the meal. The food was served quick and hot. (The veggie nachos were delicious!) The portions were quite filling, with some of us having to take some home. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxing. We were all very pleased and will definitely be back when in the area! Kudos!”

“My husband surprised me at Christmas with tickets to the January Farmhouse Dinner event. The whole experience was outstanding. We really enjoyed each course, and they somehow created the perfect pairing with a wine that elevated each dish.
The first course might have been my favorite, but only because a warm hearty soup is so comforting on a cold winter’s night. It was accompanied by a homemade biscuit, which was delicious.
The fourth course was another favorite, because the chef managed to cut the prime rib into thin slices and I’ve never had it that way before. The sauce and the mashed potatoes were divine.
As expected, the portions were right sized for a 5-course meal, and the wine pours were just right as well. I was impressed by their wine selections and I truly enjoyed everything we tasted.
The chef came out when each course was served to give us a bit of background about how it was prepared.
The owner gave a brief intro to the wine selection/pairing, but come to find out, they were grieving a loss and had just faced personal family heartache, so it was incredible that they were able to pull off this event, under those circumstances.
This place is usually a bike ride destination for us, so it was a treat to have another way to appreciate the venue. I told my husband that I would love to do this again!”

“I hosted a baby shower for my daughter in the Barrel Room and it was the perfect place. The staff was so accommodating from the beginning to the end. Brooke and Emily had quick response times and very professional. Matt was our server and he was top notch along with the food on this special day! Thank you so much!”

“We had a cheeseburger, cannolis and small cheese pizza. The cheeseburger was incredibly delicious! Great flavor and would 100 percent recommend it. For the pizza we chose mozzarella cheese. My very picky child said it was the best pizza ever! The cannoli cream was delicious and had chocolate chips in it! 10 out of 10! Great job!”

The staff were amazing and when I mentioned this was my first time here a lovely host named Diane showed me around the different rooms and all the rustic decor. My waitress was so nice and I tried her recommendation of the bread pudding and it was delicious! This is a great place to host parties or gatherings for events and I was informed there is no room rental fee for their large room where they can also set up a buffet for your guests.”

However, when I sat down to eat, there was a male worker in the back that was talking very loudly, and having a conversation that was not appropriate. (Heavy cursing) I know people talk loudly, but for that to be the only thing to hear while eating was displeasing”

“I was passing thru MO on I-44. I saw sign for Imo's. I get an Imo's Pizza every trip to/thru MO. I had never been to the Pacific location. It was the best Imo's Pizza I have EVER had, & I have had many!!! Manager Amber was so helpful & kind. I was tired from driving all day from OK, where I had just finished a dog-sit, on my way to a MO dog-sit. The staff were very nice. It was my best experience in all the visits to an Imo's!!!! My trip continued with me being tired, but full & uplifted by my wonderful experience!! Thank you Amber for your kindness & generosity & uplifting attitude!!!”

“I was here for Labor Day weekend to celebrate my birthday and this is by far my favorite vineyard after my experience! I did wine tasting with Vicki and she was sooooooo knowledgeable, pleasant, friendly, informative, and just all around amazing. The wine is good, gets the job done! I ordered a thin crust pizza half supreme have buffalo chicken and I highly recommend the supreme. The live music was great- singing and dancing all day! Very highly recommend this vineyard & Vicki! Thank you all for making my trip here memorable!”

“Very interesting older gritty dive bar where the locals hang out. It reminds me of something you’d see in a old school biker B movie so I stopped in for a few beers. The prices are also a welcomed throwback. The service was quick and friendly and I didn’t even have to ask for my second beer as I was finishing my first. A friendly cast of characters fill the seats here and welcome strangers anytime.”

“My wife and I go here often. Not a huge menu but the food is pretty good. We usually get a cheeseburger basket with fries and a banana split. The staff is always friendly and there are scenic views of the lake. If you're in the area I would definitely recommend it.”
