“finally got to try this place and soooo very glad we did! everything we got was absolutely delicious. the owner was working and was very friendly, honest and helpful! we tried the zombie corn which was the best corn we have EVER had. the pulled pork fries, sooo good. I had the philly and ranch fries both amazing as well and my husband had the missouri omlette with biscuit and gravy and it was fabulous! we will definitely be returning and recommending this place! the prices were very fair as well! 5 out of 5 stars!!”

Great food, nice portions, and really fair prices, not to speak of a homey atmosphere. This is like Cracker Barrel before they went corporate, and CB never had home baked pies and local ingredients like Alice and Irene's! Great buffets and special holiday offerings! Yummo!”

“We enjoy coming here. Except for the continuous abundance of FLIES!! They need to purchase some decorative indoor fly killers, instead of new grind salt and pepper with name on the or new tech to take orders. Great they are being more updated but take care of patrons having to SHEW FLIES!!”

“We had a beautiful wedding for 80 at The Venue at Stockton Lake, and Hog Tide Bar-B-Que catered the event. We chose them simply by googling bar-b-que places in the area and loved the food when we met with them for a consultation. They showed up right on time to the wedding, and they were all so friendly and professional. The food was attractively displayed and was hot and delicious! They cleaned up quickly and left the Venue kitchen better than when they arrived. I should mention that most of my brothers and sisters live out of state, and when they come to Kansas City, they always want to try a different Bar-B-Que place. It's a thing with them for the last 15 years, and then they critique it like they are food critics or something. My brother-in-law said this was probably the best bar-b-que he had ever had in his life. I had many guests talk about the food and how great it was, and where did we get that? My other brother talked about how moist the smoked chopped chicken was, and the chopped brisket was supreme. The baked beans and macaroni and cheese was also a big hit, and the corn bread melted in your mouth. Guest after guest brought up the great food as they said good night. The wedding was just as we hoped it would be: elegant, welcoming, and a great night for our friends and family. Hog Tide Bar-B-Que helped make that happen, and we are so glad we went with Hog Tide Bar-B-Que! I should also had the price was more than fair!!!”

“We are here right now. This place is full of life. A fund raiser for a family in need just ended. A band is currently playing, people dancing, talking, singing along and the pool tournament just started with handshaking, laughing and good fun.
I haven't even got to mention the monster burger which is why we stopped. It lived up to is hype and reviews. This hideaway is a gem 💎

“I needed a birthday cake with short notice and called my normal bakeries. They were already booked or stopped doing specialty cakes. I even called some bakeries in Springfield. My cousin gave me a referral to a bakery affair in Billings so I decided to give it a try. I told her I wanted a chocolate Toffee cake with maybe a little caramel. Make it look nice and hopefully it will feed 10 to 15 people. I live in Kimberling city and the drive was worth it! This was a hit at the party and I only had a couple pieces left. Everybody loved this cake. I will definitely be back to order more cakes from this lady and by the way awesome service as well.”

“Stopped in for late lunch. Salsa is great, hot is hot almost need to add a small amount of mild to it. The lunch poncho with chicken was very good. $10 and I took some home. Fajita salad just the right size.”

“I got the Fried Shrimp. Yes, they are hand breaded but with cornmeal or breadcrumbs which was way too salty and kept falling off of the shrimp. Perhaps butterflying them would help. The baked potato was decent size but way overcooked. The tough skin was inedible, and I love the skin. Cover with olive oil and generously cover in Kosher salt. 400 degrees for 45-55 minutes until tender. Next time I’ll try the catfish.”

“The food here is Springfield style Chinese food. It is good and very reasonably priced. You order at the counter. There are. No tables, only booths so a large group could not all sit together.If you eat in you get complimentary soup, a $4.00 value.the owners and counter staff are friendly.

Wheelchair accessibility: Street level, no problem for a wheelchair to enter, but no tables to wheelchair would have to position at the open end of a booth.”

Where has this been my whole life? Went on date night with hubs and had heard about this place but had never gone. A gluten free pizza is $11 here. Can you believe it?! Casey's was wanting to charge $18 for a gluten free pizza.
I got my pizza and it actually had real mushrooms on it, not the stuff out of a can. My husband got the special and ate almost a whole pizza to himself, which I've never seen him do. The food is good and as long as their open I'll be here to take a bite. Staff was nice place was clean and they even played my favorite Stevie Nicks song. And they have the cutest to-go boxes.”

“This place rocks, our meal was out of this world! The burgers were cooked perfectly, they were juicy with excellent portions of tomatoes, lettuce, onions, pickles! I'm from the west coast and the beef here is so superior to what I have been eating the last 30 years! For dessert we went all out and had the banana split! Oh boy where have you guys been! The ice cream was so incredible I'm so glad we splurged! I'm talking fresh strawberries in the strawberries ice cream! I can't wait to come back for another round!!! Needless to say I will be back for more and I highly recommend this place!”

“I normally don’t leave reviews anywhere but this location has had some serious issues for a while. Mostly with employees not giving good customer service but tonight was a young man and the service was TOP NOTCH!!! He had an answer for every question we had, was very informative, even though they were out of some items, he took the time to explain the situation and did great on the sandwiches as well. I have noticed it’s hard for this location to have good employees and I usually dread going back but this kid did great!!!!”
