“Ordered broccoli cheddar soup and sw chicken avocado salad. Salad was great but they didn't include the avocado on the salad. Broccoli cheese soup was very good. Red velvet cookie, yum. Line at the counter, otherwise I would have asked for the avocado.“
“Came in today after church. Very impressed! The employees were working very hard and communicated with each other very well. They weren't stingy with their servings!!!! Our sandwiches were definitely worth the money this time. And they gave the kids cookies because they were out of toys! So they were excited too. “This is Jane's down my favorite lunch spot in Springfield...or maybe anywhere. I have tro d nearly every item on the lunch and breakfast menus and have never been disappointed. The salads are big, fresh, and come with homemade bread. Their house drip coffee is great and is consistently tasty. The bakery case is always stocked with creative seasonal sweets and solid favorites like blueberry scones and huge cinnamon rolls. Beyond the food (which is seriously amazing) the service is fast, the staff are friendly, and the bathrooms are clean. The patio is great in the spring and fall. “My friends, this is by far the most delicious and wonderful sandwich experience you can have in the area, perhaps even the country. Every time I come here, I am greeted by friendly faces who live, sleep, and breathe sandwich. It is their lifeblood. Getting a cold sub? Expect it done is less than a minute because they have John Sandwich himself working here who can whip that thing up lickety-split.Do not even get me started on the food. Oh my word, it is life changing. This place will ruin most sandwich stores for you, nothing else can compare. The Reuben in particular is heavenly and delicious. I remember coming here for a while towards the beginning of my semester, and they eventually learned my name within like 3-4 visits. I felt at home there, I trusted them, I felt seen and heard. My heart filled with joy, even when I simply drove past the store. What a wonderful, wonderful place. I plan on bringing the love of my life here.“
“I made my first stop in our local CSC and immediately felt like I had stepped into a warm and cozy tearoom atmosphere. The wait staff easily explained the extensive menu. My food was delivered to my seat before I could finish filling my drink. The serving sizes were ample and had a delectable taste. The sweet little cookie was a great surprise. You feel welcome whether you come in a group or alone. If you are one of the “Ladies Who Lunch” or the “Men Who Munch” then this is the place for you.“
“Food was good, employee that brought us our food was nice. However Kate took our order and was not nice. I had a birthday reward and didn’t know I had to tell her I had a reward before I ordered. She gave me a lot of attitude about it because I had ordered chips and a drink with my sandwich. My girlfriend then asked for a bag for leftovers and Kate was very sassy when talking about what bag, there was only 1 bag option that we saw.“
“Our favorite place!!! My husband has Celiac Disease (gluten allergy). I know it seems crazy to go to a sub shop with all the bread around when you’re GF, but these guys are incredible! They’re always friendly, understanding, and take every precaution they can to keep his food gluten free . This is our favorite Springfield location because we have never once been made to feel like we’re inconveniencing anyone, which has not been the case at other locations. They were very busy today and were still very accommodating to our needs. I am not GF and the turkey and provolone is my favorite. So good! Fresh ingredients always. If you have a gluten allergy and wish you could eat a sub, this is a must try. They will take great care of you!! Customer forever! Keep up the great work guys!Dietary restrictions: Udi gluten free sub roll. They slice meat on a clean slicer in a separate area away from the regular bread/sub making station. We ask for untouched condiments from the back cooler, and they’re happy to do that. They have separate condiments for gluten free subs.“

“Good News, Bad News.Saturday’s special today is Italian Beef. BUT, they ran out before 8 pm, when I got here from KC headed to Branson.I supported this local restaurant all thru Covid before my job took me to KC. My daughter looked forward to SDC. All day long I only wanted an Italian Beef. At 14 years old in the early 80’s, my first job was making Italian Beef in Chicago. This place does a great job of representing ChicagoLand.I can’t believe it the owner is stingy such that they ran out. It comes in frozen from Chicago, so I can’t see why there isn’t another tub unthawed.Guess I’ll have to be ok getting Italian Beef at Costco frozen from now on.“
“I drive by this little place all the time and always wanted to stop by. I finally tried it for the first time and it's a place I'll definitely visit again!I did stop by for a potato, but they don't serve their spuds on Saturdays. That was no biggie and a sweet girl gave me a menu to help me chose a different option! I got the Rooster and it's a really good! I did add salt and pepper when I got home, but that's just my personal preference. Also the price is a great for how much you get. I'll have to stop by again and try some of the other menu items!“
