5 Best Mexican Restaurants near Palmyra

“Small town Mexican can sometimes be the best. Traveling on business and stumbled into El Nopal thanks to Yelp when the other restaurant in Palmyra was closed on Mondays. Friendly service, $6.99 margaritas on Monday, and super delicious shrimp tacos. Ask for the extra hot salsa and the side of cheese and lettuce to stuff the tacos. Returned a second time for the exact same dish it was so good. Very friendly. Even the people in Hannibal MO say it's the best Mexican in the area and I agree.“

“We all know BBQ! It is what its always been..Period. When I got word of Platt Daddys, my eyes rolled slightly and that "Havnt had Que in a minute feeling settled over me and I assumed here we go. Another "Pit Master" boasting this prize and that reward with honors 2 states over. However, I cold not have been more wrong. I was litterally rocked by this in your grill, no holds barred Barbque joint. Most Que joints are like most other que joints. Your either in the mood for it or your not. You could probably guess 90% of most menus before arriving. Not at Platts...These are dishes! Entrees serverd with pride from a well thought out confident menu. I had to throw out 50 years of what I thought was bbq and glad I did. Platts has a costomer in me and a recomendation to all other bbq numbed foodies out there. “I wanted to say I appreciate the staff here, I mistakenly left wallet on table and didn't realize till next day and my gf called them and they had set it aside . In this day of age not alot of honest people want to show my appreciation .“

“I called at 900pm to see when they were open till, and ended up arriving 20 minutes before they closed. They were very welcoming and sat us down. We ordered our drinks and meals. It was very quick. Strawberry margaritas were very good(picture of a small). The food was even better. Had Rio Gran Burrito and my wife had the Chicken Quesadilla. Also had chips and salsa(which was very tasty) and ordered a side of Queso, which is a must for me. Portions were very generous, and the service was even better. Look forward to visiting again“

“Asked for a table because my husband and I are larger people. Waited over 45 min. Finally said we'd take a booth with 2 open tables. One right next to our booth. Ordered our pizza and still haven't gotten it after 25 minutes. Wasn't offered chips and salsa. Which isn't on the menu as an appetizer. I don't recommend this place and probably won't be back. First and last time for me.“
