Her name is Julie, and she was absolutely a joy and delight. She even wished me a "McHappy Day" when I exited. If I lived in Pleasant Hill, I would be a frequent customer without a doubt!“
“Went on a busy Saturday afternoon. Was able to have lunch, even though I was gluten-free because they had options which was fantastic. The sandwich was large and didn’t fall apart.As a non-coffee drinker, I was able to have options and still get some fun drinks like the Nitro Arnold Palmer.We sat at the counter, but there was plenty of seating, and even an additional conference room, and lots of people having mini book clubs, or studying or working on their computers.“
“Charming place. I asked if the history of the house was known and the young woman abliged us with what she knew. dining chairs, very uncomfortable. My husband and I both had a dinner salad and we both enjoyed it. I was told by the young woman the ranch is made there, it was fantastic. We talked about what we'll try the next time we're in. We just moved to Lone Jack, I know we're going to be regulars.“
“Very subtly coffee shop with a smooth vibe to it. Definitely a coffee shop to be at if you need a cup of great coffee, good food, & a smooth environment to get some work done. Immediately greeted as we walked through the door & communication was on point with the barista. There was only 1 person working but that doesn't mean the food or drink was rushed, each drink was made as if that's the only the only customer, & the service did not change despite the sudden rush towards closing.“
“We LOVED this place. We visited here on our road trip across the US with our kids and all I can say is I wish that these existed in every city across the US. This is a goldmine business model because parents can relax and enjoy coffee while socializing. The kids have lots of imaginative, open ended toys. “Must see for anyone native to KC or visiting the area. Store carries all items made by local vendors at affordable prices. The staff is so friendly and recognize me after just a couple visits. They also have a membership that pays for itself times over if you remember to use it monthly. Highly recommended for anyone in the area, items for all ages!“
“Had a great sandwich. Turkey on Ciabatta. I didn't care much for the brand of chips. Greasy and over cooked. Too salty. I would eat here again. It's usually pretty crowded at breakfast but not so much at noon. I enjoyed visiting without a server constantly at my elbow. Did enjoy a pleasant conversation with our waitress when she was working near us. I don't mind friendliness but some places the servers are obnoxious. This is not the case at The Brick HouseParking: Parked in the first spot on Lexington around the corner from the entrance.“

“I tried this spot when I was craving something sweet. I had the crème brûlée boba and it was delicious, sweet but not sugar packed and refreshing. The store was clean, chic and the service was quick! It's definitely a must try if you're in the area shopping!!“

“Overall it was a solid ice cream shop. It was inviting and the employees were friendly and kind. For me there were a few too many froufrou flavors. I am more of a plain flavor guy without the bubblegum, mango, cheesecake, or birthday cake flavors. I was also disappointed in their website because they did not display their menu when I clicked on it. It says "there are currently no menus to display." In today's digital age you definitely need a good website or app to showcase your store. Please keep your website up to date.“

“Yes I recommend!! The company was founded 1998. The very first Scooter's Coffee location was known as "Scooter's Java Express." The name fit well with their mission to keep customers happy by helping them "scoot in and scoot out" quickly! So if you want to wait on those ridiculous lines in other establishments? “Oh I love Caribou. Never a disappointment. Today I had the Carmel Shaken Oatmilk Latte, with an extra shot. Yummy. Quick service and great to see the seating area open and being used. Did I say I highly recommend the Oatmilk Shaken espressos? Earlier this summer, they had an espresso tonic, which was also refreshing. Things I like about Caribou is that their beverages are not too sweet and they are creative in their new drink development. I only wish there were more Caribous in KC.“
Donut Shops • $
“Great donuts! A coworker brings donuts to the office every Thursday and this week she changed from the usual donut shop and brought a box from Baxter's instead. All the donuts we got were yeast donuts. I tried a glazed twist, cinnamon sugar twist, vanilla frosted long John, and a German chocolate long John. The German Chocolate donut was delicious! I've seen this type as a cake donut before, but never as a yeast donut. By the time I got to the office there was 1/3 of a German chocolate left, so I'm assuming it was a long John or large bar shaped donut. I would definitely get this again. I had a couple bites of the glazed twist and sugar twist throughout the day and really enjoyed the cinnamon sugar twist. I did notice that these were pretty dried out by the end of the day, though, as people cut bites off of them throughout the day. The vanilla iced long John (white icing) is not something I've tried before, but there was a whole one left at the end of the day, so I took it home for dessert. Even though it hadn't been cut into at all, it was starting to get a bit dry and stiff by 8pm at night, so these are definitely best eaten as soon as possible. If you're a fan of coconut, try the German chocolate!“
“What an interesting coffee shop. They print shirts and sell gift as well as a coffee shop inside that is sooo good and food is so amazing . They have the main seating upstairs and it's so peaceful and gorgeous I highly recommend other than the other coffee shop in town“
