We walked in at 7:00 and overheard someone yelling in the back complaining that people were coming in, when they don’t close until 8. Everything that was ordered the cashier had to check to make sure it was still available since they closed in an hour and even had to turn the soda machines back on for us.
Best prices in town. Best ribs in town. Most friendly staff in town.
We used Dexter Bar-B-Que to cater our son’s rehearsal dinner for his wedding. The food was excellent! The manager was very helpful in making sure we had just what we needed. The portions of food exceeded our expectations!! I highly recommend Dexter Bar-B-Que for any function you might have, you won’t be disappointed!! A big thank you to everyone involved in getting our dinner prepared and delivered on time!!

Based on reviews, Dexter Bar-B-Que serves amazing barbecue. The food is top notch and the best barbecue ever eaten. The ribs are mind-blowing, especially with the Southeast Missouri vinegar sauce, and the brisket and pulled pork are fabulous. The pulled pork sandwich is solid, and the pork salad and pork plate with beans and slaw are also good. The coleslaw and baked beans are very good. Food is fresh, and sandwiches are loaded and worth the price. Prices are good, with three pulled pork sandwiches and three sodas costing about 20-23 dollars. Service is super fast, and the workers are nice and respectful. The drive thru is quick, efficient, and correct, and food is hot. However, some reviews note meat prep can vary, and a takeout order was missing sauce and had dry turkey. The restaurant does not accept tips.
