This place was just meh for me. They got my drink order wrong, I wanted a margarita on the rocks and received a frozen instead, but that's no big deal.. still good. Then I ordered a large quesadilla and received a small one, which kind of sucked but oh well it was cheaper. Waitress didn't really check on us much.. the place wasn't even busy. Queso was mediocre. Kind of a crap experience for our anniversary. Not terrible, not great.
My wife and I are not experts on food but we love Mexican and this has become our favorite place. It seems when we eat out “which is rare in COVID times” one of three things is always an issue. You can get good food at a good price but the service is poor. You can get good service and good food but the price is too high. At Agave we love the food, the pricing, and the service is great. Had dinner there and ordered steak fajitas and a side of quest. Very good, portions very great. Really liked the rice. Service was very prompt. Only thing that could be improved would be if staff can wear masks properly.
