I've lived in San Diego, CA - and this place is LEGIT. they do burritos just like the hole in the wall places down near Pacific Beach. Reminds me of having sandy flip flops and eating burritos by the ocean listening to the birds and watching the waves. So delicious. And enormous. Half a burrito is more than a meal! Nom nom!!!
Purple Burrito? California style Mexican food? Nope. Driven past it for years. So I finally tried it. It is GREAT! Having grown up in Arizona plus a few adult years in Tex-Mex Texas, I'm opiniated on enchildas and this place has it right.

I go to Purple Burrito regularly, specifically for the fish tacos. I have tried other items and liked them but the fish tacos with some sweet and spicy salsa from the salsa bar is hard to beat. I highly recommend this place.
