“I have been a customer of Salt N Smoke for the past 4 years and always have had a wonderful experience, however this recent time with a nightmare to say the least... I ordered on 1/12/2022 around 8:45 PM via a Call-In on a Debit Card. What I ordered was (2) Bestie 2 Combos, one with Sweet Ribs and Smoked Wings sides were Sweet Potato Chips and Mac n Cheese, the 2nd Bestie 2 Combie was Ribs, Smoked wings and for the sides it was the Fries and the Mac N Cheese. Total for the Order was $41.72 Charged to VISA Debit Card Ending In (4360) I recently moved away to Iowa in the past 1 year so anytime I come into town in Saint Charles to see my parents which is often I always get Salt N Smoke in Saint Charles, MO I wish I could get it from Delmar if it was closer because I have never had a bad experience at that location ever, however Saint Charles is a different story. When I got to my parents I noticed all of the food was cold, not even slightly warm, I was really confused on how that was possible because I arrived at Salt N Smoke in Saint Charles before my order was finished. I ended up warming up both dinners because I did not want to waste food but still could not get myself to finish the meal mainly because there was something very wrong with the chicken almost like it was spoiled, my girlfriend was trying to be polite and ate everything to her regret, 1 day later she told me she had the worse stomach pain she has ever felt and it was so bad where we had to rush her to the E.R Hospital at Great River Health Center in Fort Madison, IA where we currently reside. After waiting 2 hours, doing blood tests and urine samples the doctor came to the conclusion that my girlfriend had gotten "Gastritis" which is a bad stomach inflammation which the doctor recommended it was caused from the poultry at the BBQ place she ate which was Salt N Smoke on Saint Charles... Tried to write them via Email no response, they will be hearing from my attorney.“

“Can’t speak to most of their food but I can tell you that they have the BEST crispy spring rolls and crab rangoon (sweet) around! I haven’t ever tried anything else because these are just delish!“

Their fresh food, juices, and eclectic menu makes it so you can always try something new. They have specialties each month, and I suggest you go before the end of February and try their barbacoa chilaquiles breakfast bowl!! Today I had the morning meditation juice and the barbacoa chilaquiles breakfast bowl. The breakfast bowl was a party in my mouth! The braised beef barbacoa mixed with the eggs, beans, and other seasonings. My friend opted for the Italian Inspired omelet. You can put a reservation in online prior to arrival on busy days (like Saturday). The wait was not long this morning, and the food makes the wait worth it. One thing I like about Fresh Watch is the continuity across the chain in that regardless of which restaurant you choose the food is always good and fresh. Great service. Stop in and check them out…try something new!“

“Always good food and service at a good price. Small family owned restaurant. Great lunch specials. Our favorite waitress has been there for years. Having lunch is like eating at an old Italian friends house. My wife loves the toasted raviolis. One time, I forgot to order the toasted ravioli with our meal, and our waitress just stood their and patiently waited.“

“Walking down Main St on a beautiful evening and the patio caught our eye. The "dungeon" basement is cool and the bartender was really sweet. Having a fire when it got a bit chilly was the icing on the cake. Will definitely be recommending to friends and coming back for dinner soon.“

They feature a wide variety of live bands, outside when weather permits and inside when necessary. Come by car or by boat; they have free courtesy docks for those arriving by water. The table service was VERY slow, but our waitress did apologize a few times for the delays. My wife & I each ordered dishes listed under a Lunch Specials section of the table menu, but they appear to be the equivalent of what the online menu lists as "Bowls" with "smaller portions of our favorites, served on top of steamed white or brown rice and a side." We both enjoyed our entrees (Honey Chicken, Orange Chicken - each offering enough leftovers for a small dinner meal), and my Side item of Pork Egg Roll was large & well prepared. My wife found her Side House Salad to be too spicy for her tastes. Our dining partners enjoyed their dishes, especially the Teriyaki Beef entree.\n\nWe are accustomed to P.F. Chang's being an upscale dining destination (with furnishings & decor to match), so we really appreciate having flavorful options that won't bust our budget. “I'm of the opinion that these negative reviewers don't know Chinese food. First off my delivery was on time, packaged well, and piping hot. My spring rolls were crispy and savory. I wish they were bigger but I'll just order more next time. I was not aware there was a Chinese version of Bourbon Chicken but I am now and I am here for it. My order was delicious and portioned much too large for me to finish. It was almost as good heated up for breakfast the next day. Do yourself a favor and take the negative reviews with a grain of salt and try this place for yourself. I'll be back for sure.“
