Hate to say it but Steve sold after his wife passed a number of years ago. Place wasn't the same last time I visited and I think has since relocated.
Not worth the cost. Got a bacon dog. Bun was tough, not soft. Maybe stale or frozen too long. Bacon wasn't really wrapped, but the dog itself tasted fine.
Their online ordering is confusing. They force you to choose certain selections when you shouldn't need to.
Maybe if I ate the food there, it would be better, but you would think it would survive the 10min ride home.

Awesome place. Had their Italian beef combo. The bread was good and the meat was very flavorful and juicy. The guy threw some hot peppers on there which made it fantastic. Even the fries were great. They were seasoned and hot. Great customer service and is definitely a place you should try.

Based on the reviews, Classic Red Hots is an awesome place and a wonderful little spot that serves up classic red hots. This no-frills, family-owned gem offers authentic Chicago-style food. The Chicago-style dog is a textbook masterpiece with a poppy seed bun, a juicy all-beef frank, yellow mustard, neon green relish, fresh chopped onions, tomato wedges, a kosher dill spear, sport peppers, and celery salt. The Italian beef combo has good bread and very flavorful and juicy meat. Even the fries are great, seasoned and hot. The food is fantastic and the service is impeccable. The staff is so inviting, welcoming, and amazing. While the bacon dog has a tough bun, the dog itself tastes fine. Some found the online ordering confusing. Overall, Classic Red Hots is a must try and a place people will absolutely go back to.
