“It's a small, cute little place to go into. Customer service is great. They are very nice and whatnot and make you feel very welcomed. You're glad to sit inside and there's a small table outside and of course the ice cream is great. I have the white vanilla dipped waffle cone. So good with the blondie ice cream. Highly recommend.Parking: I would say since it's in the loop your best bet is to walk or find other transportation near there. It's not a general parking area for it. Plus the loop anyway is better for just walking around anyway so that's not in fault of them“

“Man i just had the best ribs! Ordered a half rack with baked beans and slaw. The ribs were so tender the meat fell off the bone, these were no skimpy ribs, there was all kinds of meat. The beans were really good they had some pulled pork in them. I’d go back there in a minute!“

“Bogarts 4.5/5 Sugarfire 0/5 Pappy's 5/5 Bogarts has pastrami which we didn't see anywhere else, so we tried that. Very good! The ribs are also very good but Pappy's is just a tad better. Bogarts was a little more difficult to get to via public transportation, but it's doable. We came at 3 (they close at 4) on a weekday and it was empty. Same coleslaw as Pappy's (we were told they have the same owner) which is vinegar base with cabbage and apple. Great compliment to the rich bbq. I did need some sauce on the ribs here and there but nothing close to Sugarfire (tough and dry).“

“A friend recommended this deli to me, so I decided to swing by before a trip to the zoo. Lots of selection in sandwiches. It was almost hard to decide on one!. Favorite part though, every sandwich is offered in either hot or cold. My sandwich was delicious, and I could tell the cuts of meat were high quality. There are side options,other prepared food items, a large selection of meat products for purchase, and a wall of ice cold refrigerated beverages. There is seating in the middle section of the store, if you prefer to eat there. To the left is a small well stocked market area with grocery items. Great place to come for a quick lunch or on the go meal! PSA: the gooey butter cookies are da BOMB !!!“

“This is the face of a VERY happy birthday boy. The driver was professional, and very kind to the children. Multiple people around the area were excited to see the ice cream truck too. He did our party and other sales. How he managed that I will never know. Because the kids were coming in left and right. I was excited that this business had sonic the hedgehog ice cream. But they exceeded my expectation on the variety of treats. We purchased bracelets for our party guests so the driver could know they were with the party. It worked out beautifully. I was actually able to purchase extra sonic the hedgehog ice creams and snocones! I will definitely be using them in the future. Great reasonable price and so friendly.“

She is so sweet, a quick communicator, and she was even at our wedding to see that things went smoothly. They even let my baker bring the cake to them the day of, and they handled it from there. The bar was awesome!! The drinks were delicious and ll the staff from serves to bartenders were so friendly! Our wedding was at the World's Fair Pavillion which has some stricted guidelines/rules which we were worried about. Pasta House took care of all of it and didn't let us worry once about it. They were a dream to work with and I would recommend them to everyone for a delicious and stress free wedding or event!!!“

“Nice little neighborhood grocery store, with a long history that also serves some great sandwiches! We tried the Roma and Mary Jane sandwiches and loved both. All sandwiches come with a pickle spear and small bag of chips. The flavors were nice and fresh, with great taste! About $9 each and a good size. We sat and ate at the counter and read about the history of the building. Next time I want to get some of the side salads to try. The service was a bit odd, as there were 4 people behind the sandwich counter and 1 at the front/store register. The 4 folks were all talking to each other and didn't notice us for a bit. The guy who took the order seemed a bit upset and didn't really talk much. He sent me up front to pay and then said to come back in 5 min for the food. After a few minutes I came back and the other folks helped find the order. They were both very friendly, and helpful. Must have just caught the first guy in a bad moment. Is it a place for date night? No. It is worth going there and grabbing lunch to eat outside on a nice day? Hard "YES"! Great food at a good value and a local place, can't ask for much more than that!“

“We've driven past here countless times and today had the opportunity to have lunch. It's a store front in a small strip, clean and nicely decorated inside, with 3-4 umbrella tables outside. The counter staff were very kind and offered recommendations. I had the chicken spedini with salad. I didn't realize it also came with a generous bowl of spaghetti and red sauce. I'm Italian and most Italians will tell you, "We never eat sauce out (meaning tomato sauce), so I took it home for the kiddo. My husband selected the chicken parmigiana which also included pasta and we both had salad. Our entrees and the broccoli that accompanied them were delicious. The quantity of food was too much for me, but the hubby loved it as he was ravenous by the time we stopped. The salads were tasty, though the cheese we added came in fairly large sticks - not bad, just oddly proportioned. Everything tasted good, but we were a bit shocked by the prices. While the counter staff were very nice, she didn't indicate how much of an up charge there was for a small side salad. We'd expected close to $20/each and ended up with a bill of almost $60. We won't pay that much for lunch again anytime soon, though we would consider them for catering because the food was very tasty and the catering prices weren't terrible, thus the 4-stars. It would be 5-stars except for the unexpected pricing.“

The outdoor patio on the corner is larger than the whole joint started out.It's now formatted so you order and seat yourself, which works out well as far as I can tell. And takeout is just as easy. IT DOES GET BUSY, so if you suspect you're in a time crunch you could always go to another spot nearby and grab Mexican at a (potentially) less busy spot.ALL of the Mexican restaurants on Cherokee have great items on their menus and and it's worth exploring all of them to see what you like where. But basically La Vallesana is my go-to when I'm not being particular and maybe want to go be anonymous somewhere.The last thing I have to say about La Vallesana is that you might want to think about dessert first, so you can save room. When you enter, all the house made ice cream and aguas frescas like horchata are also not to be overlooked. Not only was the food delicious and the staff exceedingly kind, they went out of their way to accommodate us and help us figure things out when we needed advice/had any questions.
