“The food is pretty good but they nickel & dime you. Example, when you order a salad, it comes with not enough dressing & I’m one who does not require or want a lot or extra salad dressing on my salad. But they charge extra for each addition little cup of salad dressing. And after the party I was with left, I ordered takeout for my wife. They said they gave my order to someone in my party, which I know for a fact they did not. When I got home with the order I had to wait for more than twice as long for, they did not put the extra salad dressing I ordered & payed for in my bag. I know I should’ve checked but I trusted them & they failed.“

“We ordered the sweet and spicy wings, pretzel, Cajun chicken pasta, and the buffalo chicken wrap. Everything was okay. It’s something to come to chill, eat, and catch up with a friend. Nothing really stood out as super delicious. I might come back to try their burgers. The wing sauce was good, but the chicken itself was a bit overcooked. The pasta was really saucy (which was a bonus), but it lacked flavor. The pretzel was actually good! Super soft and I like that it had 2 sauces. The wrap could have been warmed on the outside and a better proportion of ingredients on the inside. Our server was nice!“

My biggest complaint is 9 for cheese garlic bread that looks like it was discards from someone else's meal. I have 3 pieces that have red sauce on them. So dry and not good. I'm not one to complain but seriously, it's so cheap. Make it fresh.“

“We had not been here in a little while (couple years) so decided to stop in. It's a pretty popular spot and has a regular following so it was busy. It was a Saturday evening at prime dinner time so that was to be expected. Fortunately there was an open table for the two of us so we had no wait. Our waitress, Kasey, was excellent! We didn't feel the least bit rushed but our appetizer was out very quickly and soon after our entrees. Dishes were cleared as they came empty by any waitress or server that happened past the table. We got a burger & fries and the fish dinner with a side Ceasar salad. Everything was prepared perfectly and delivered fresh and hot.
The noise level was commensurate with a bar/restaurant which should be expected when dining at a bar/restaurant.
The menu offers plenty of options at reasonable prices and the bar can satisfy the full gamut of request.
In summary - I recommend Trueman's Place to anybody looking for a good dinner, light apps and/or drinks with friends.“

“Me and my wife and friend came here last night we had outside seating which was great due to weather. My wife ordered the blue cheese burger my server said it was not on the menu but she made it happen. That's what I call perfect customer service at 100% will go back when ever I fly back from Jersey.“

“Older bar and grill with good food and plenty of space. Pool, gaming and Foosball on site. Friendly wait staff and our party of 7 was quickly seated. Several tvs with different games going on. Ceiling fans made it a little drafty so bring a coat or sweat shirt in case you get cool.“

“While I'll still recommend it...I did go to the Twin Oaks location tonight and they had taken the adult grilled cheese with tomato soup off the menu. 😢😢😢 I just had it there a few weeks ago. They had also taken the zucchini appetizer off the menu. Everything I went there to order is not completely off the menu. And there isn't a suitable substitute. I hope you'll consider bringing those back.“

“There are always good choices on the menu, but I was looking for a light meal. I picked an old time favorite that I hadn't had for a while, Chicken Wonton Tacos and it was certainly a good choice. Carrie was our server and was friendly and attentive. I will be back soon.“

“Parents night out! Quintessential dive bar with very tasty bar food. Just what we were looking for. Cheeseburger with pub cheddar cheese = mouthwatering. “I grew up going to Duffy's, so it has always been a favorite in my family. Last month, we had my dad's celebration of life there in the banquet room with the most delicious buffet. I highly recommend having their banquet room for any celebration. Our server, Josh, was so awesome, knowledgeable, and quick to attend to our party of 50 or so. We even went back the next day for the St. Patrick's Day celebration where I've spent many St. Patrick's Days at. Everything is fresh and delicious. the staff is so friendly and give great service! ❤️“

“[July 2025] There are plenty of parking spaces on their lot while it may share it with cyclists on Grant’s trail. My brother and I met up there for dinner and to connect. I forgot what I ordered as a drink, but I believe it was a rum-based drink that was on their menu at some point. For my meal, I actually ordered one of my favorite appetizer menu items there – the Chicken Wonton Tacos. It’s one of the few things that is not 900+ calories and is light and fulfilling. It is always good too so nothing more to really add. My brother had a burger and fries. Our service was efficient and our drinks were good!“

“We came on a very busy day, but after some waiting, which can't be helped, we were given a seat. Our server was friendly, but we didn't see him very much, probably due to it being so busy. The food was great and I was impressed with the portion size. We also had our 14 month old son and they were quick to help bring what he needed. Overall, it was a good experience. I definitely would want to pick a less busy day, but they worked well.“

“Our visit in arnold was great. I didn't remember to take pictures until halfway through our meal. We had no wait to be seated. Our waitress was great, very attentive to the right amount. We always enjoy eating at Applebee's!
The atmosphere is always relaxed. You can tell they are working with an older restaurant, but it's pretty clean every time we've visited.
The last few times, they haven't had Cucumber for the Salads which is a downside for me but it wont keep me from coming back.“

“We had my niece’s 25th birthday here and I was a fabulous party. We asked for Becky to serve us which she always does with exuberant smiles and attention. Matt, Satchmo’s owner, was here and mingled with us like any bar/restaurant should. As a chef, this tells me volumes of how he runs his establishment. I religiously order the pork green chili(which is phenomenal) and the fish and chips were to die for, exactly how I like it. This place is the quintessential neighborhood bar!“
