“I was there tonight for the Mizzou-Ohio Cotton Bowl game. It was crazy busy, but the staff held it together. They were taking orders and getting orders out without any frustration . The food was perfect, the drinks were perfectly made. This was our third time being there, and each time was better than the last.“
“Went because it was the only place open late enough on a Monday night business trip. Had no idea it was a sports bar hooters variety of place. Had the naked lemon pepper chicken wings, they were decent. The waitress was very nice and didn’t flirt like crazy like most of these types of places. Very loud.“
“Nicely lite atmosphere outside and in, perfect for a family diner or date. The waiting area is inviting with hostesses with hawk like attention who get you to a table quickly. Menu options are not too bad. The sampler appetizer was enough for two of good quantity and taste. The main course was a grilled strawberry salad, which was a little heavy on the dressing and exceptionally good. The bar was prompt, and that too was good. The cherry on top this night was the bubbly waiter, who regularly checked in on us and refilled my soda drink before it was empty. Flbagasted of the staff positive attitude and the great food. We had a wonderful night, a break from the normal subliminal push to clear the seat for the next group.“
“Stopped by last night , there was a very large group of us. Service was top notch. I can't tell you how impressed we all were with how well we were taken care of. Drinks were always topped off and we were checked on repeatedly. Food was great. We had a great time. Excellent experience!!!“
“Had salmon, and it was excellent. Abbie was exceptional as our server she stopped by every 20-25 minutes to ensure my friend and I were doing well. It was a little noisy, which made a little difficult to converse, but I guess that is to be expected on a Friday night. Although we were there previously on a Friday night but sat on the opposite side and conversation was easier.“
“Nice surprise in old monroe. Other than a mouthy waitress in the bar section everyone was friendly nice and the food was phénoménal. Great home town bar. Waitress was probably trying to be funny but missed it by tha...........t much! Great time great music by our old friends Mojo Universe!“
“Really cool old school Irish pub with nice wood bar and a great atmosphere. Fantastic bartenders and service with a smile. I would highly recommend very cool people that come here and cool jerseys on the ceiling. They also allow dogs on the patio. They have a nice little dog bowl for water indoor food, which is a definite bonus. They have an outside window so you can smoke a cigarette pet your dog or feed your dog or drink your dog of course and get a beer, which is fantastic.Parking: Plenty of parking in the back with an entrance in the rear ;) and one in the front.“
“This seems like the typical pub/bar. It has a good menu and the food is great for a bar. What seems to be the difference is the ownership. The owners do better than other places to keep the employees happy. They even come around to make sure you're happy and get to know you. I'll keep going back for sure.“
“Food was good, nothing to write home about, but nothing to complain about either. Staff was really friendly. The borderline too loud music playing was some live recording that wasn't that great, but it was fine as background music. All in all, a good visit and would indeed recommend.“
“Great neighborhood Pub, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. We sat at the bar and met Scott the bartender, very attentive and friendly to talk with. We had the Trash wings, OMG, if you like crispy wings, these are them, outstanding. We also that the potato skins that are loaded with bacon, so good. If your looking for a Great pub to hang out in, get a cold beer and awesome food this is it. We will be back!“
“I will admit I'm not a sports bar type of guy. But if I had to rate what the average sport bar patron looks for, The Post hits the mark. The food was good. The menu had the typical sports bar items. I ordered the Philly, and it was above average for the midwest. I would order it again. The bartender was attentive and checked in with me to see if I needed anything more to eat or drink. I ordered two beers and a shot of bourbon. My only complaint was that the beer was served in a plastic cup. I prefer my beer in glass. The Post had plenty of large televisions about the dining room and bar. All televisions were working and bright with a clean picture, no missing pixels, or burnt in lines. Oh, and they did have several games throughout the bar, Golden Tee, and other sport related games. The parking lot has ample parking and is well lit due to the grocery store next door. If you want to catch a game and have something to eat and drink, this would be your place.“
“We went in for the first time for lunch. Mercedes was our bartender and could not be more wonderful. We had the chef salad and catfish bites and they were delicious. The owner was even present and engaged with us and thanked us for coming in. This speaks volumes to me and we will be back!“
