“My wife and I went, and she had the catfish and I the salmon. Very tasty. I knocked one star because for a $24 and $28 plates, they should have real silverware. It was near close on Sunday, but the plastic knife fork and spoon in the wrapper just ruined it for me.“

“Just plain great! We were welcomed and served ice cold beers and friendly service. Best 70's soul juke box ever!!! We spent the whole afternoon chatting, playing and listening to music. Best beer prices in town. Good people for good fun. Thanks for your kindness.“

Annie Bell's Lounge Bar •
1406 N State St, Clarksdale

“Annie Bell's is a one-of-a-kind juke joint. You won't find a place like this anywhere else in Clarksdale or the world, for that matter! This is where real Delta people go for a real good time. The crowd is older and more relaxed. Drinks are reasonable and you can get your groove on/back on the mirrored dance floor. Get some barbecue next door at Wop's if you're hungry.“

Channel Ziltch Bar • $$
119 3rd St, Clarksdale

“Was in town for the Juke Joint Festival this April and while walking around we passed the chef outside with his giant wood fired grill. Barbecue and blues are what Clarksdale is all about. The Bistro may not look like much but it is clean and you can’t go wrong with any of the food choices. We sampled some ribs and rib tips. The chef wouldn’t divulge the secret ingredients in the baked beans, but I’ve never had anything like them. Portions were large and prices were reasonable especially in the middle of a festival. They’ve got an extensive menu and indoor and outdoor dining, weather permitting.“
