“Delicious daiquiris in Diamondhead! This little drink bar is so cute and friendly. You used to have to drive to the Bay to get a daiquiri but now you can get one right here in Diamonhead. The king cake is seasonal so get it while you can! It's made with lactose free ingredients and vodka, and topped with classic Mardi Gras pride. We also ordered the mango and margarita flavors to make a mango margarita. The drinks hit just right.”

“This is my first time visiting a Burger King in a while, and while driving through Mississippi, we stopped here to eat lunch and get away from traffic. The food was fresh, workers were friendly, and the overall experience reminded me of Burger King quality of the late 90’s/early 2000’s. If you’re in the area, pay them a visit, 5 stars.”

“We traveled from Pensacola, Florida to dine at this fine establishment. Been following SaltPepperOak for months on Tiktok. Vincent puts his soul into his place of work which is more like his second home. There's no guessing what your plate may look like when eating here. The magic unfolds infront of you as he prepares your feast before you on a platter. His whole crew working there are great people. You feel family vibes among them which is beautiful. The bbq is beautiful. I've had good bbq at other places, but this place my friends is great bbq. Ordered the three meat plate. Ribs, brisket, burnt ends and added sausage. Everything was full of flavor. Brisket was moist and tender. In house made beef sausage was wonderful. Burnt ends are great! Potato salad and mac n chesse were awesome sides. “I come to the bay every so often to visit my inlaws and have always been disappointed in the food quality especially the seafood, but this place has one of the best fish sandwiches I have ever had. Super fresh, slaw is great, and the bun is fresh as well. Will definitely be my go to when visiting Mississippi”

“Highly recommended if you appreciate good espresso. Best latte I've had in the south-- excellent microfoam with clean latte art, flavorful doubleshot by default in a 10 oz ceramic cup. Very nice interior, nice and small outside area overlooking the beach. Nobody batted an eye about me ordering in full bike kit and I was able to put my bike on the front porch so I could see it from the inside while ordering. Service was friendly-- they brought my drink and pastry out to me on the porch.”

“Good food, friendly service, great value in a cozy setting. Thought I'd give Sunrise Cafe a chance about a month ago and just recently went again. Both visits were positive all the way around. I had the Philly Omelet on my first visit - claim is in the name - very tasty! On my second visit I had the Corn beef hash, which was OK, but less impressive than the Philly Omelet in my opinion. I prefer a hardier homemade version vs hash that looks similar to Hormel from a can. My wife had the Patty Melt and said it as good as any she'd ever had! Overall - nice spot, good value, tasty food with friendly service.”

“Overall, dining at this restaurant was a delight from start to finish. The delicious food, amazing service from Sissy, & charming atmosphere made for a memorable experience. Situated right off the Bay St Louis/Waveland exit it is perfect for stopping & having a quick bite before continuing on your journey. The portion sizes are large, I was able to take 1/2 my meal & appetizer home. The fried fish & grilled fish basket are fabulous ?, & the hamburger steak meal is sooo good. Try the onion rings!!! ?I highly recommend this Cafe!”

“First time dining at the Hook, top quality & fresh catch of the day! We had the triple tail with "The Pass" sauce which was a butter garlic sauce with crab & shrimp! Definitely rich but not heavy where it weighs you down! Had the bread pudding for dessert & it's the best I've had, definitely will be back!”

“If I was rating this place on food and the server we had I would rate it a five, but I am throwing in the pre-dinner service and reception upon arrival for a large group, which I found lacking.The good is that our server did an excellent job. The food was very good, everything came out it a timely manner and was great.The negative:I phoned about a month in advance to explain that I was looking for a reservation for 25 to 40 people with questions about them being able to accommodate and the logistics. I was assured it was no problem. I phoned with a reservation for 25 two weeks prior to the date and said I would let them know if that changed. Four days before the reservation I phoned with an updated number of 30; I had to leave a message on voicemail. The day of, about four hours in advance, I phoned to make sure they knew that there would be 30 and that the voicemail had been received. I was told yes it had.We arrived at the restaurant, I told the hostess our group and number of guests. She said the reservation was for 25. She acted a bit put out that it was a larger number. The reservation was for 6pm and of course there was part of the group that got there early, not more than 15 minutes. We didn't really expect to be seated early, but it was 6:20 before we did get seated, so we had senior citizens standing outside for 30 minutes. They had a set of tables for twenty that was ready when we arrived and the other tables they were waiting for diners to finish.I mentioned to the hostess that I was surprised with our group size that they didn't sit us in a separate room. The response was, well you would have had to give us a deposit. This was the first that I had even heard that this was an option. Giving a deposit would not have been an issue. I'm not sure why when I made the original inquiry about booking that I wasn't given this option.I felt like they should have seated the tables they had for twenty and let them order drinks while they waited for the other tables to be available. We had people with canes standing outside for 30 minutes while those tables sat empty. We had someone in the group request to go to the bar and get drinks while they waited and the hostess told them that if they did, they might have to get up if they needed the seating for a diner at the bar without a reservation.I never saw the hostess smile once or make eye contact with a single person, not to anyone in our group, or several people that showed up and were seated while we waited. Maybe she was having a rough night, but as a business owner, I sure wouldn't want that the first interaction my guests got. Several in our party thought she was just to the point of being rude.As I said in the beginning, the server and the food were very good, but it would behoove them to have all of their employees on the same page when it comes to what they have available to accommodate groups and to share that when people are booking.”

“This is one of those easy to miss scruffy shack type places with absolutely incredible food, great service and a bunch of picnic tables on a grass area right on the beach. One of the best and most memorable meal experiences ever. I am coming back several times while I am still in the area.Parking: Right next to a large free municipal lot. Probably crowded during peak tourist season, but plenty of spaces.Kid-friendliness: Outdoor picnic tables right on a sandy beach. Perfect for kids.Wheelchair accessibility: Right on ground level off the parking lot - should be navigable”
