I enjoyed my lunch. The steak and chicken habachi was flavorful and seasoned well. The rice was good. I got the vegetables without onion and they were soft and well seasoned. Shrimp tempura was tasty. My only complaint was that the server. She didn't leave straws, didn't give our table pink sauce, she was difficult to flag down, and didn't check on out table regularly. My lunch date had to go up to her to ask for pink sauce and still had to wait for the server to put in another...read full review

Yamato Japan is a surprising find for lunch or dinner. The hibachi is amazing, with friendly service and a quiet atmosphere. The sushi is good, but some dishes need a little extra flavor. Despite a small issue with spoiled tuna, the overall food quality is outstanding. The shrimp yaki soba is a perfect choice. Fast service and a pleasant ambiance make this a great spot for a meal with friends.
The food is always hot and fresh. Vegetables can be cooked well-done, and the food is seasoned to perfection with a nice taste. While the portions may be small for the price, the food is very yummy. There is no additional charge for the yum-yum sauce. The waitstaff is friendly, helpful, and attentive. Yamato has definitely upped their game, with hot, made-to-order food and excellent service, earning thumbs up from customers who plan to return.
