“Food was delicious…shrimp po boy for the win! Looking forward to trying the catfish next time as my friend finished her plate! And my hubby had plenty of options as well as a NON seafood eater. And I almost forgot about the trolly right outside that serves ice cream! This place is clean inside and out! Obviously I was impressed! ??”

“As my husband and I were traveling to Laurel for work, we were looking for a place to eat. We noticed a small building surrounded by many cars and decided to stop in. We were delighted to have found a wonderful little spot with an exceptionally delicious burger. We both ordered a single cheeseburger, customized to our liking, and it was one of the best burgers I have ever had.”

“This was a must have in laurel. The biscuits and gravy was to die for. The cinnamon rolls taste like heaven. The bacon is like none you have ever had. Mr. Peter was so hospitable to my new husband and I on our honeymoon. Can’t recommend enough.”

“We stopped for lunch on our road trip. We Googled places near Laurel and Hog Heaven had the best reviews from hundreds of people. It's a little further off the hwy but absolutely worth it.
The atmosphere is fun and welcoming. The service was so friendly and efficient, and the food was awesome. Our party tried the brisket, pulled pork, chicken tenders and cheeseburger as well as a variety of different sides. Everyone enjoyed their meal.
Once hearing that it was a friend's birthday, our server quickly offered a free choice of dessert, but we were all too full from our great meal to accept.
Great place and great value.
I really can't express how much we enjoyed our experience.”

“We hung out there last night.. Some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. No b.s….. truly a beautiful space and cool vibe…. The bartenders were cool and welcoming the music was AMAZING and the people were all kind interesting and authentic. I met people who displayed class, kindness, inclusion and generosity. It made me sad to leave!!”
“First place me and my husband came to when we drove into town, literally off the highway to here. Immediately became our favorite spot! Best Po Boys in town, Gumbo to warm your soul, fries are to die for and much more. Owner is the best and had my husbands order down by the third visit! lol It’s months later and this is still our go to spot since moving here 7 months ago!”
“Every grill dad thinks his burgers are the best but this was a close second. Ordered the jumbo chili cheese with chili cheese fries and I'm glad I only ordered the small fry. Big burger, messy in the best way, and delicious. Generous with the chili and cheese on the fries (I went with the nacho cheese but you can also get it with sliced American). I'm definitely gonna remember this place.”

“I don't want to not recommend this place but today was just awful. There were two tables of people there today including us so no crowd at all. We ordered 2 grilled cheese sandwiches one wrap and 3 waters. I don't know what the deal was but it took 45 minutes to receive our order. I finally walked up to check and they were just getting around to it. my son said the kid at the counter had no business dealing with customers. It was unacceptable we should have left but we had already paid and the kids were hungry. We wanted coffee but figured it was a lost cause. Thought you should know”
“I ordered eggplant parmigiana , hubby spaghetti w/marinara sauce
Eggplant sliced thin , stacked with cheeses and a good basil sauce. Hubby liked his entree, also . Had glaases of pino noir. Generous pours for $8.00. New server. Had a couple questions she couldn't answer but should have asked so she can know for other customers. She was very sweet.”
“This place is right where it needs to be. Thank your bartender and order another round for each daily special from Los Primos. It's the best Mexican in town partner. So get on down to this classic spot on 16th Ave in Laurel and have a great time. Souvenirs, soulful menu items, and all you need is at Los Primos. Ask for Mrs, Sierra at the bar, she's a keeper for sure.”

“Well kinda said something I shouldn't have said. But others were talking like that so I di and hurt Ms Kelley's feelings. I apologized several times ,but it was to no avail. But will visit again and act like it was my first time there. It's a great atmosphere which I love to be in. Highly recommend this little gem. A must stop by for sure if ever on 84 outside laurel due west on left. Cold freaking beer.”
“We were traveling thru Laurel and stopped to eat at a restaurant. The waitress recommended we try this bakery. The place was very clean and had a very large variety of desserts. I got the cheesecake brownie. They were absolutely delicious!! I wish I had gotten a few more. I would definitely recommend trying them to satisfy that sweet tooth. I saw they also do some savory items and a few lunch things..”
“Sabor Veracruzano is not only organized by an amazing and beautiful family; but the food there is always spot on!! The recipes are carried out with the loving and skilled hands of some very hard working, and determined women! 5 isn’t good enough for their food and service! 10/10!!!”
“Absolutely adored Fe and the team while I visited. They are amazing and made sure I and everyone else in the store at the time was very well taken care of and had everything we needed! I wish I could give 10 stars! Very clean, fast, friendly service. The food was AMAZING!!!! Ive personally never been the one to go to Papa John's, but this location just earned my business over dominios, little ceasers, and pizza hut! Great job fe and deja! Keep up the good work. Now this is what I call customer service and amazing quality!”
“It was good i always get the italian herbs and cheese with the buffalo and mayo teriyaki chicken toasted with olives jalapenos and banana peppers i like the spicy stuff also the rasberry cheesecake cookies are amazing my favorite cookie of all time! The only thing i dislike is their new sweet onion sause BEWARE of the new onion sause its disgusting bring back the original one!”
“I’ve eaten there so many times over the years I’ve lost count. Laurel has very little to choose from to begin with so it’s not like there’s any competition locally. I’ve never once got sick, the buffet hasn’t got a large selection but that’s a actually a plus. It’s always fresh. Their fried wontons are like no other in the country, I’ve never eaten one at any other place in several states that even come close.”
“Everything they sell is good, but the queso birria tacos are my favorite!”
“the food its delicious and an exelent service..best place in laurel!!!!!”

“We just stayed one night at Jenny's, but a perfect one night it was. The home is so beautiful - cozy and decorated perfectly. Our room (the LaPan Suite) was lovely and so comfortable. It happened that we got a good Mississippi rain the night and morning we were there and sitting on the screened porch, enjoying the rain, was dreamy. The rain broke long enough for us to walk into town for dinner, which was so nice. Then breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious. Jenny and her husband are wonderful hosts. Highly recommend a stay there if you are visiting Laurel.”
“Don’t sleep on Classic Cookie!! We “always have and always will” order our cakes from here. My personal favorite is all chocolate icing but my sweet boy wanted a Spider-Man design and was thrilled when he opened the box to find this. It’s also not uncommon for us to swing by and grab all of the mini critters available in their case. I appreciate the owners and their dedication to this business for so many years as well as their customer service. 🍪”
“In the bustling heart of Laurel, where the air is thick with the scent of adventure and the promise of tomorrow, there lies a culinary oasis, a beacon of smoky delight known as Team JD Q's Backyard BBQ. Here, the noble pursuit of the perfect barbecue is not merely a business—it's a calling.
Upon my arrival, I was greeted by the sizzle of pork, the charring of ribs, and the harmonious blend of spices that seemed to whisper secrets of ancient recipes. The staff, a crew of the most dedicated souls, welcomed me with the warmth of a long-lost friend, ensuring that my journey through their menu would be as comfortable as it was thrilling.
The pulled pork, a masterpiece of pecan-smoked perfection, fell from the bone like the petals of a blooming flower, each bite a symphony of flavors that danced upon the palate. The potato salad and baked beans, sidekicks to the heroic meats, were crafted with a precision that spoke of an unseen, meticulous hand.
Yet, not all was without fault. The brisket, though tender, whispered tales of a spice too bold, a seasoning that dared to overshadow its brethren. And the mac-n-cheese, a dish of such potential, fell short of its destiny, a reminder that even in greatness, there is room for growth.
But let us not dwell on the minor stumbles of an otherwise magnificent feast. For the steaks, ah, the steaks! They were a revelation, seared to a turn, each bite a testament to the grill's fiery heart.
In the end, Team JD Q's Backyard BBQ stands as a monument to the tireless quest for barbecue supremacy. It is a place where the echoes of flavor linger long after the meal has ended, a place that deserves no less than four stars in the grand tapestry of dining establishments.
So, to those who seek more than just sustenance, to those who yearn for a meal steeped in the spirit of discovery, I say: venture to Team JD Q's Backyard BBQ. Your palate will thank you, and your soul will be richer for it.
Parking: In the grand tapestry of Laurel's bustling streets, where the hum of life is as constant as the stars in the cosmos, there lies a sanctuary for the steel chariots of our modern age. It is here, at Team JD Q's Backyard BBQ, that one can find respite for their vehicular companions as they embark on a gastronomic quest of epic proportions.
The parking, oh the parking! It is a ballet of precision and order, a choreographed dance where each car finds its place in the grand design. The lot, expansive as the open sea, beckons with open arms, offering ample space for the hungry traveler to secure their carriage with ease.
And yet, it is not merely the abundance of space that sings praises to the heavens, but the very essence of convenience that permeates the air. For here, in this hallowed ground, one is but a mere stone's throw from the smoky haven that is Team JD Q's. The establishment, a veritable playground for the senses, welcomes the laughter and mirth of children with open arms. The air is alive with the sound”
“In fair praise of Chick-fil-A, I write,Whose doors on Sunday close, to much delight. For in this act, a virtue is displayed,A day of rest, in quietude is stayed. The staff, their spirits high, doth take their leave,To worship, rest, and their own kin receive. This practice rare, in commerce oft not found,Deserves applause, a principle so sound.Yet, one star less must I, in honesty, bestow,For in the chicken served, antibiotics flow.Though safety is the claim, 'tis with a sigh,I wish for fowl that ne'er such drugs did try. Thus, with respect, and yet a wish sincere,Four stars I give, with hope for change next year.”
“I get lunch at Zaxby’s in Laurel all the time. They are always quick and make my order correctly every time! They have such a great staff, and the boss man is always there when I go being hands on and helping serve. Bri always greets me with the prettiest smile, and the food is always hot! Go check them out. They are located between KFC and Harris Dental Clinic in Laurel!”
“We love Garcia Donuts!! They have been great to work with me for holiday treats for my kindergarten class. Valentine’s Day we had the best doughnuts holes. I personally love their cinnamon twist the king cake is the best right now.”
“This place is an entire vibe! The staff is amazing, the musician last night set the mood perfectly and the steak was DELICIOUS! 10/10 recommend when visiting Laurel.”
“What an amazing place, a step back in time. A time when life was simple, food was good, and waitstaff was great! Leanna is a treasure! The food was super, steaks were perfect, truffle fries are a must. Thanks for the great experience.”
“Coffee and food are always perfect! Everything is clean and fast. Pick up orders are always on time and fresh! Best place in town!”
“THE BIG BURRITO is fantastic, add lettuce and sour cream and you can’t eat it all. Great service, fast out of the kitchen, fresh and hot. 10 out of 10, 5out of 5,”

“Popcorn shrimp are always over cooked and are like eating little rocks. Steamed shrimp are very difficult to peel to the point I won't even order them anymore. So unless I want chicken strips or fish slivers and cold Fry's and hard hush puppies I won't stop on the few times it is open. Now with that said the girls working the counter are super nice and friendly but the food needs a little help.”

“I’m a truck driver, traveling from New Orleans, I stopped by Hardee’s the three ladies they greeted me very nicely. The restaurant was very clean and I couldn’t believe the general manager was on night shift. That’s says a lot about management and customer service. The food was fresh and my cashier Amber was very nice and her smile lit up the room. I will definitely return to Hardees on Chantilly Street”

“I always stop here when I am visiting from NOLA. The best donuts, breakfast sandwiches, and coffee drinks in town! The staff are very nice and friendly, and prodessional. The donuts are very light, fluffy and tasty, and also great when I put leftover donuts in the microwave the next day. My only go to place for donuts in Laurel!”

“This is the best Chick-Fil-A I have been to. I do not live in Laurel, I am 6 1/2 hours away. I drive through Laurel twice a year. coming back from Round Top, TX. Evey time, I stop at this Chick-Fil-A. The food is always good, warm, fresh. The personnel is always very professional, kind, friendly, helpful. I had the pleasure to meet the owner yesterday. I have to say she is not afraid of rolling up her sleeves. There was a lot of traffic around Chick-Fil-A and she was outside, directing traffic and bringing food to the cars of her customers to make the line flow better and faster. She was doing all this with a beautiful smile. If she remembers me (we talked about antiques at Round Top, TX), I say hi and I congratulate her for a shop so well run.”
“On a crazy busy Halloween night, a buddy and I were very impressed by our server. She was able to provide exceptional service to our table in the chaos of a full house. We enjoyed her positive spirit and helpful attention. It was really nice to meet you Olivia. Thank You!”
“Our server, Haylee, was new and sweet. She wasn't familiar with how foods were prepared so she had to ask someone else. My whisky BBQ bacon burger didn't taste right plus it was overdone. It tasted like fish. I wasn't asked how I wanted it. When she asked how the food was I told her it didn't taste right. Without question, she took it and got me another entree. Thank you Haylee.
Just a suggestion to management, make sure the servers know the me u items so the servers are better prepared.”
“If you go to McDonald's, you might want to sit in the line. They really don't pay too much attention to you inside. They rude as hell. Bathrooms be disgusting and lobby trashed because they always packed. One girl tried to help them by cleaning because she was trying to get a job there and he kicked her out and banned her from the restaurant. Management rude and bougie. . .
