The food was terrible..I had a biscuit and bowl of grits. The biscuit was hard as a rock and tasted old..the coffee was old and cold..I will not eat here again. This is my third bad experience here...and I am so sorry, I use to eat here a lot but I won't return..
The fried chicken sandwich at this chain restaurant, IMO, is better than Popeyes or others in that it is a battered boneless chicken breast, fried to crispy perfection on a toasted bun, with dill pickles, tomato and mayonnaise. You can't get better than that.

Petal Wards is about the best Wards around. Go with the double little one instead of the big one cause the meat tastes better. It's good, but is it just me, or didn't their food taste way better when we walked over after school1 in the late 80's.
