We went to the Pope Country Café one morning for breakfast while camping at one of the campgrounds at Enid Lake. We chose to sit at a booth (we were there with another couple) and were promptly waited on and were brought the beverages we chose (coffee mostly). Wow, talk about a hidden gem for an out-of-towner to stumble upon!Drove by in the middle of the night hunting for my campground at Enid Lake. I wasn't sure the place was even still in business, as it looked quite rustic in the dark of night.Was thrilled to find it open the next morning on my way to Batesville for an event, and had the single best breakfast of my weeklong road trip. We came to this adorable little country restaurant for breakfast. The owner was the only one on service and she was super attentive and quick to get orders. We ordered your typical diner breakfast of eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. The sweet tea was on point. It's nice to have a real homemade sweet tea. The breakfast was fresh and seasoned good.
