This place is open on strange days but it works. I think it is Thursday to Sunday but not positive. They offer primarily fried foods. This could make it difficult for people who would like something else. They do have boiled shrimp which I don't care for. That's not because of the place I don't like it from anywhere. The staff are great and do what they can. I took a star for that as we waited a very extended period of time but they are under staffed. I get it as I have a business...read full review

Yum food. sweet service. Good price. Catfish, sweet southern coleslaw, several sides to choose from, sweet southern ice tea, and a little ice cream dessert ...if you are not already full.

We were driving through en route to New Orleans and found this gem when we pulled off of 59 to take route 11 for a while. We caught the Sunday lunch buffet: delicious fried chicken and catfish, creamed corn, pinto beens, stuffing. Real food, real good. Simple, informal family restaurant.
