“I love Papa John's. I am a fairly regular customer. I hadn't been there since Christmas, which is unusual. So I thought Valentines looked like a good time to return. I called to place my order. To my surprise, no one answered the phone. That was a first. So I went inside. A very exhausted looking young man came out to greet me. This was not the usual camaraderie that I was used to seeing when I would go there. He was clearly trying to find a minute to grab some lunch, and suddenly, I understood why the phone was not answered. So I asked him if he was working all alone and he said, "Yes, every day." I immediately felt badly for him. One of the busiest pizza days of the year and he was working alone. There was no one there to help him, nor even just to talk to. So I couldn't rate the service, nor the atmosphere, as highly as I would normally, because this man couldn't be the effective team member he normally would be. There was no atmosphere, it was just eerily quiet and still. No staff members hollering to one another, helping one another, laughing with one another. It was so sad to see. He did the best he could that day, and he made me some beautiful pizzas, even though he was feeling pretty low. So do better, Papa John's. Support your staff. No staff member should ever work alone in this crazy world.“

“On Saturday March 1 /26 I ordered online a large pizza order for a birthday party ($180 ) total when I arrived for Pickup, I was shocked that it was lined up so bad at the staff was so busy and I mean extremely busy. They handled the rush quite well. This was at 4:20 PM. Fast efficient orders. My food was fresh hot and ready. therefore I allowed the staff A $50 tip and the front end fella was very shocked. I said no you guys deserve that and more very well maintained store St. John New Brunswick very very busy and it was handled quite well.“

“I’ve managed multiple franchised pizza locations so I understand firsthand the level of effort it takes to maintain consistency across service and product. That’s exactly why I think it’s worth recognizing what this location is doing right.

Over the last 9-10 orders I’ve placed here, the quality has been impressively consistent — not just in the food itself, but in the overall experience. From the pizza to the sides, everything has been well-prepared, fresh, and packaged with care. That kind of reliability is rare in this industry and speaks volumes about the internal standards you’ve clearly put in place.

The staff has also been a steady presence — familiar faces, always polite, efficient, and focused. They may not be the most talkative crew, but they Hustle and I respect that. Maybe a bit more customer engagement or banter during slower moments wouldn’t hurt, but overall, the flow is smooth.

Out of all my visits, only one order didn’t quite hit the mark — and even then, I wouldn’t call it a failure. It was a timed order, and based on the texture and temperature, I’d guess it was made too early and sat a bit too long. It wasn’t a major issue, just one of those things when timing doesn’t line up perfectly. If you’re not already using heat racks, it might be something to consider —

All that said, I think this team should be proud. The consistency, the attention to detail, the efficiency — it all adds up to a location that’s not just surviving in this market, but actively staying competitive. “I pay $35 plus tax for large pizza with pepperoni and cheese plus half with donair... they told me 30 min after it was 15 min and drop off quick about 10:50pm, I open pizza box and eat them after I noticed they full raw and not cooked. so I call them many time until he answers, I ask I want refund and it not cooked, he hung up...
