“The vibe here is amazing! I love a double entendre so walking in to see a sign that says “meat here” with a giant arrow instantly gives me the giggles! I took my jacket off right as she was brining our food. “I love your tattoos” she says and I’m falling in love with this place. The cheesin steak sandwich is smothered in cheese, the wings are crispy, our appetizers came out fast and hot, and the atmosphere was great. I was having such a good time I didn’t even mind the watered down, chunkless blu cheese. You won’t either I promise! My husband and friends notified the waitress it was my 29th birthday to which she replied “29 would have never guessed your 29!” and I’m a little shocked. The thing is it was 13th 29th birthday so I reply “ and how old did you think I was?” I’m expecting a 35 or 36…. She says “24!” I laughed so much and said “I’m actually 42” and it was her turn to be shocked. Those hush puppies and fries were on point, I always eat those right away and these had me doing my happy food dance. Baked beans... perfection but that meat y'all, let me tell you about that meat. As soon as you pull up, you can smell that mellow smokiness and that comes through in the taste of the meat. It's the meat you HAVE to keep chewing because it's just that good and tender. BBQ sauce is on the side because it only elevates the flavor instead of masking it. Jay did have a lot to handle with our big group and some allergies BUT in my opinion SHE HANDLED HERSELF WELL UNDER STRESS AND ISSUES OUT OF HER CONTROL! I think I would go back but maybe not with a group and definitely not 2 hours to closing I think the kitchen staff probably gives up at that point and figure you get what you get!“

Our Waitress we had was horrible she never once refilled our drinks. She only took our order and delivered it to us. We did leave a tip which should go to the Manager. The food was delicious. The order was ready when I arrived for pickup. The food was fresh, no French Fries in old grease which tends to make them look brown. The white sauce on the Gyro which I can’t pronounce was in the correct amount not drowning the peta bread. The Club Sandwich wash fresh. The lettuce was crunchy not soggy. I will eat there again. I do recommend them.“

“We discovered Pier 88 last lake season and it’s become a must do every time we are on the lake. It’s the perfect stop for gas, burgers, ice cream, smoothies. The owners are absolutely the BEST!! We feel like part of the family every time we visit!!! I always leave with some sort of merchandise... the sun shirts are fabulous, love @sunbum and @boggobag and today grabbed a @silipint cup!
