“My first time did not disappoint. I ordered something not on the menu, they didn’t skip a beat and exceeded my expectations! I wanted a biscuit and sausage gravy with a fried chicken breast. My waitress suggested I order it as a fried chicken biscuit with a side of gravy. It was EXACTLY what my inner fat kid was craving!
Family friendly atmosphere with an old school feel to it. Wasn’t loud and I was able to enjoy my breakfast in peace.

“I remember eating here as a child in the 70's. Then traveling from Raleigh to Charlotte for work, it was always a stop. Once a colleague said as we arrived, "this place is going to be good, it has the perfect mix of BMW's and pick up trucks." This addage still holds true today. The food was amazing as always.“

“Normally a solid restaurant, but last visit was fairly disappointing. This was the first time I ordered from the brunch menu. The bacon was basically candied, which was not my favorite and the deviled eggs with pimento cheese were really salty. The poached eggs in the breakfast bowl were very watery, which was off-putting and the grits were strangely gigantic and super soft, although they tasted good. I'd only ever gotten lunch or dinner there before, so I probably will be sticking with that moving forward instead of the brunch. Important to know that this is an open kitchen, so if you're in the main dining room, it's almost impossible to hear anyone else in your party. If you want to be able to have a conversation, see if there's seating available outside of the main area.“

“I've had occasion to eat at Johnny B's since it first opened. All in all it's a great restaurant, the seating is comfortable, the staff is pleasant and efficient, the food is great, and it's very clean. My only negative comments would concern the volume of the music in the background. When you go in for breakfast, or any time really, you don't need the music turned up as loud as it always is. My other negative comment concerns the fact that they are out of tea bags for hot tea quite often. If tea bags don't come when ordered there is a Food Lion right across the parking lot where a box could be purchased. These are minor items overall, and they won't stop us from dining there, but it would be nice to have these issues addressed.“

“Was in Winston until late and looked for a random dim sum restaurant to eat. I got 3 different type of dim sum. Tried the noddle soup because I’ve never seen that type of soup before. It was amazing. Very different type of soup and noddle but it was good. I’m definitely going back. If you haven’t tried this noddle soup dish before. It’s worth a try. Great service too.“

“We came in and checked in with hostess..recieved a beeper to be notified when our table would be ready. 4 couples came in behind us...40 min wait...ok no problem. Next thing I see is 4 people come in and see someone they know. They grab chairs from other tables and cram around a 2 top. 6 people on a 2 top. Then a table opens next to them so they take that table over. I asked hostess to handle it. She couldn't so I asked for a manager...BOB...what a joke. He says their friends came in so they were going to do whatever they wanted because I was apparently rude to his hostes. He's not much of a manager if he allows anyone to come in and TAKE A TABLE while 4 other couples that have been waiting 35 min for a table. I'll be in touch with Stephen...aka..the managing partner about BOB and his lack of everything. Hes pathetic. Will never return.“

“This was our first time here. It's in the same complex as Food Lion. If I am being honest, my first thought was, as we approached, this might not be great. But, as soon as we walked in, I was calmed. The atmosphere was pretty much a typical Mexican style restaurant. However, the service was impeccable and, most importantly, the food was fantastic! I usually start by judging their salsa verde. I had the Chili Verde and was duly impressed. Everyone else loved their food. The prices were reasonable and we got free dessert.“

“We came to the restaurant today, Saturday November 8th. We aren’t from Winston, we are actually from Hickory NC and was in town for a party. I will be honest, we were first going to Texas Roadhouse and a last minute look online I found this place. Upon arrival, I was hesitant because there wasn’t many cars in the parking but I am so glad we went in. We got out of the car and they were playing 94.1 which is what we are listening to in the car. The waitress we had was awesome! She had only been there 6-7 weeks she said but she was amazing. The food was very good, especially the Spinach artichoke dip! 10/10 recommend this place! I am a firm believer in tipping and we made sure to give this waitress the tip she deserved. I wish I knew her name….“

The food came out quickly and was cooked excellently! I felt the booths and decorations were cozy and lovely. Overall this was a lovely experience with excellent food and customer service. We ate the combo for 2 with steak, scallops and chicken that came with 2 cups of soup and salads and it was all wonderful and cooked well.“
