“Normally a solid restaurant, but last visit was fairly disappointing. This was the first time I ordered from the brunch menu. The bacon was basically candied, which was not my favorite and the deviled eggs with pimento cheese were really salty. The poached eggs in the breakfast bowl were very watery, which was off-putting and the grits were strangely gigantic and super soft, although they tasted good. I'd only ever gotten lunch or dinner there before, so I probably will be sticking with that moving forward instead of the brunch. Important to know that this is an open kitchen, so if you're in the main dining room, it's almost impossible to hear anyone else in your party. If you want to be able to have a conversation, see if there's seating available outside of the main area.“

“My first time did not disappoint. I ordered something not on the menu, they didn’t skip a beat and exceeded my expectations! I wanted a biscuit and sausage gravy with a fried chicken breast. My waitress suggested I order it as a fried chicken biscuit with a side of gravy. It was EXACTLY what my inner fat kid was craving!
Family friendly atmosphere with an old school feel to it. Wasn’t loud and I was able to enjoy my breakfast in peace.

I can’t believe this was less than $6.50 after tax.

“I've had occasion to eat at Johnny B's since it first opened. All in all it's a great restaurant, the seating is comfortable, the staff is pleasant and efficient, the food is great, and it's very clean. My only negative comments would concern the volume of the music in the background. When you go in for breakfast, or any time really, you don't need the music turned up as loud as it always is. My other negative comment concerns the fact that they are out of tea bags for hot tea quite often. If tea bags don't come when ordered there is a Food Lion right across the parking lot where a box could be purchased. These are minor items overall, and they won't stop us from dining there, but it would be nice to have these issues addressed.“

“Was in Winston until late and looked for a random dim sum restaurant to eat. I got 3 different type of dim sum. Tried the noddle soup because I’ve never seen that type of soup before. It was amazing. Very different type of soup and noddle but it was good. I’m definitely going back. If you haven’t tried this noddle soup dish before. It’s worth a try. Great service too.“

“I stopped in to pick up a Baja Turkey Burger for my Mom. She Loves their Turkey Burgers. Her appetite is poor, since, her Stage 4 Cancer could, no, longer be treated. The treatment caused adverse, effects. My Daughters paid her a visit, during, Christmas of 22 and discovered it on the menu. They purchased it. My Mom Loved it and has desired another, since. Today is a great day for her! Thanks for offering and preparing fresh, farm to table options.“

Then a table opens next to them so they take that table over. I asked hostess to handle it. She couldn't so I asked for a manager...BOB...what a joke. He says their friends came in so they were going to do whatever they wanted because I was apparently rude to his hostes. He's not much of a manager if he allows anyone to come in and TAKE A TABLE while 4 other couples that have been waiting 35 min for a table. I'll be in touch with Stephen...aka..the managing partner about BOB and his lack of everything. Hes pathetic. Will never return.“

But, as soon as we walked in, I was calmed. The atmosphere was pretty much a typical Mexican style restaurant. However, the service was impeccable and, most importantly, the food was fantastic! “Just got back home after a Friday night dinner with the family. I'm from the Philly area so I was a bit skeptical of good pizza/Italian places in the Winston-Salem area. Brick Oven is outstanding. I got the classic stromboli and devoured it. Cooked to perfection. The marinara sauce is popping with flavor and the mooz could stretch a mile. Pizza was on point with a small sized crust and baked perfectly.

This was our second time there and waited to give a review the second time because I wanted to see if the first time was a fluke. It definitely wasn't. Even met the owner who runs a tight working ship with great waitresses and hostesses. Would give 6 stars if I could and I can't wait to go back again.“

Their prices are great too! Get a ton of food for the same price as a meal at a fast food restaurant but their food is actually ‘real’!“
