“My husband and I have been meaning to stop in for lunch, too many times to count. We did so Monday June 28th @ 11:00am. We were welcomed so warmly, you'd think we were family members. This is a small little dining gem! We plan on stopping often. We both had the chicken filet sandwich, Ken's w/lettuce-tomato-mayo crinkle cut fries and sweet tea. I don't like to eat out much because I very-rarely even eat 1/3 of a sandwich. Even burgers I take 2-3 bites and I'm done for the day. But... miraculously I ate 1/2 of my chicken filet sandwich w/ex mayo and a diet Pepsi. Ken... was all but floored! In a really good way. The prices are really-.... Great and the food, well we both agreed it was the BEST CHICKEN SANDWICH we've had here in North Carolina. Fried to perfection, really extremely moist and tender and it overtook the fresh/warmed roll it was on. We go to Walgreens at least once a week in Angier. So, we will become Happy-Regular Customers. Give this place a try. You won't be sorry you did!“

“The food is outstanding! I had the clam chowder and it was like nothing I had before. Homemade and loaded with clams. I am going back for the soup alone! I also had the fried haddock with onion rings. The fish was fresh and flaky. Cole slaw was also homemade. The prices are decent and the waitress was very nice. Can't wait to go back!“

“The food was fantastic. Large portions a d served timely and hot. The margaritas are to die for if Raul makes them. Raul is a fabulous manager,cares about his patrons and is very friendly. He makes sure everyone has what they want and if you aren't happy he will fix it immediately. This business is lucky to have him and his staff.“

“I want to give a shout-out to the serving staff at Smashed. Our teen son and some of his high school soccer teammates have been spending a lot of time practicing at a local field and then walking over to Smashed for lunch. As previous hospitality workers ourselves, we've taught our son to tip well, but I can imagine servers are hesitant when they see a group of teens sit in their section. Our son has said that every time they've gone (3x in one week, lol) the staff has been welcoming, attentive, and fun. Thank you for providing everyone with a pleasant dining experience!“

“We ordered three butter burgers and three concrete mixers. They were pretty good, but my grandma's was switched to just plain. The food came out almost instantly and it was excellent also I asked for some signature sauce on the side and none came the atmosphere was nostalgic“

“Third visit, plan on many more. Food is excellent, and not being from the Northeast, had to ask about some of the menu items. Portions are more than generous. The Garden State Buger was the best hamburger I have ever tasted! Meat balls are to die for. French fries are top notch. Service is excellent, and Ben (the owner) takes time to visit with the guests. I'm planning to bring friends who are from New Jersey to hear their impressions. New favorite restuarant. Worth drive. Go Hungry!“
