“Is this fantastic Chinese food? No. Is this reliably decent Chinese food, buffet style, for a fair price? Absolutely. I've only gone for dine-in so can't speak to their takeout. Good sweet and sour chicken, Chinese and American appetizers, lo mein, butter shrimp... Nothing was terrible, the wait staff is good about filling drinks, and they keep the pans refreshed consistently. Give it a try! And don't forget to look up, the ceiling is super cool.“

“Chu's in Eastchester in High Point makes the BEST hot and sour soup. They are the only place that puts chicken in it. That makes a huge difference. Their noodles are better than anyone else's also. The chicken wings are top notch also, so much flavor.“

“Overall Score: 8.1/10
Definitely a takeout-focused spot with a big menu and strong North Chinese food vibes. Tastes like classic Boston and New York–style Chinese, which is hard to find. Everything was really good, portions were filling, and the value was excellent. In Boston, they may be an average spot but down south, this is great.
Chicken fingers 8.5/10
Crispy and flavorful, exactly what you want from classic North Chinese–style chicken fingers. Super satisfying.
Boneless spare ribs 8.7/10
Very good flavor and cooked right. Sweet, tender, and a generous portion.
Beef teriyaki 6.6/10
Tasted just like the North-style version you hope for. Solid seasoning and great value for the amount. I think it needs more sauce though.“

“My other go to Chinese restaurants when my favorite one, China City on National Highway is closed on Monday but this location is also good! They both have very good grub! Actually are the only 2 Chinese restaurants I eat at now for several reasons. But the main reason is the pork fried rice is great at both locations and when I order my usual General Tso chicken its all the way cooked an the chicken is a little crunchy and not soggy like some other restaurants. I dont like the chicken when its soggy like its been sitting on the buffet it gets soggy an no crunch! So these 2 have the good egg rolls and crispy General Tso combos and are hands down the best 2 in town!“

“I have gone here for years and know plenty people who have too. Everyone loves this place. It seems as though reviews for even the best places in town always have a few that give rotten reviews. I have never had a bad experience at this restaurant and I could overlook one time, if I did. Overall, I still think this place is excellent.“

“Great Chinese takeout spot! The food was hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. My order was ready quickly, and everything was neatly packaged. The sesame chicken and lo mein were especially tasty. Portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. Perfect for a quick, satisfying meal on the go. Will definitely order from here again!“

“I ordered through DoorDash, the food was still hot upon arrival. I ordered chicken wings with shrimp lo mein, the lo mein was very good and flavorful. I rate it 4 stars because the chicken was a little salty other than that everything was good I would definitely order again. My new Chinese restaurant before I was driving 15-20 minutes to the north side of town to get food.“

“I heard about Chu”s express on Westchester from my niece, Accompanied with my sister and grandson we placed our orders Oct 20 22. customer service was excellent has a 99.5 grade and the October decorations we nice. No place to dine in. Our food was so delicious even my grandson was like ummm ummm ?. I highly recommend them. Delivery available also“
“This place was disgusting, not being dramatic. Noodles tasted like they cooked it with something burnt, broccoli tasted like lemon, white rice tasted soapy, and my jaws hurt chewing the orange chicken so long. I ended up giving it to my cat… my cat died“

“I moved from NY so I’ve been spoiled in my Chinese food but China City is true to their “NY Style”. We have consistently ordered from them over the past 4 years and they’ve never disappointed. They don’t have a few NY items due to lack of demand but everything else has been good, and trust me when I say we have worked our way through the menu. I’m admittedly not a fan of the hot and sour soup, although I am very particular to it so to each their own. The brown gravy is peanut infused, different from what I’m used to from NY, but I’ve gotten used to it. Whenever we have NY guests we always order the steamed dumplings and they get wiped out immediately- best item on the menu!“

“I recently visited Van Loi II and had a great overall experience. We ordered the combination pho, tripe salad, mixed 5-spice intestine (pork chitlins and innards), and roast pork. Everything came out flavorful and delicious, especially the pho and the more traditional dishes, which really highlight authentic Vietnamese cooking.
The only downside was the roast pork—it was a bit on the dry side—but still had good flavor.
This is definitely a spot I’d recommend for anyone wanting to try authentic Southeast Asian cuisine, especially Vietnamese food. Just a heads up: the restaurant is on the smaller side with limited seating, and it can get pretty busy. There were only two servers when we visited, so service may take a little longer—but they’re working hard, so it’s worth being patient and kind.
If you’re dining solo, you can also ask to sit at the bar, which is a nice option.
Overall, a solid spot for authentic flavors and a worthwhile visit!“

“The parking lot and building are easy to find, and once you walk inside, the whole place was fairly clean and looked sharp. I gave the atmosphere and service a solid 5 stars. These areas were spot on. However, there was only one person working the counter, so I had to wait a bit while she was multitasking, but she was polite and friendly when she got to me.
The food line, though, was a different story and only gets 3 stars. I walked in around 3:50 PM, right in that lull before dinner, and it looked like they just gave up on filling things back up. The containers were picked over and sitting low under the heat lamps. Because the food was running low, it was losing its flavor, so the overall quality was just fair.
I spent a total of $15.69 with tax for a two-item plate (orange chicken, broccoli beef, and rice) and two chicken egg rolls. The price is about average for what you get nowadays, but since they’ve cut back on how much they fill the containers, you aren't getting quite as much for your money as you used to.
It shouldn’t matter if you walk in during the rush or at 4:00 in the afternoon—the kitchen needs to keep things stocked and fresh for every customer. Giving a 4 or 5 star on food here wouldn't be fair to the local spots that actually keep their quality high all day long. Great building and a hard-working cashier, but the kitchen needs to stay on top of things.“

“We love the food there but the water tastes like mold and mildew. This is the second review I have left and the first one has not showed up.“

“BUSSIN, $12 for a real plate of hibachi chicken… I’m running out of rice before I ran out of chicken, zucchini and onion which says a lot. Most spots throw a handful of chicken and a scoop of rice in the plate but not Gogo yaki so Gogo place your order and stop waiting!“
