“First time customer, long-time visitor to downtown Asheboro. I was flying solo this particular evening and decided to give OG’s a try. Downstairs is typical booth, sit-down seating. The bar is upstairs, and standard in size and appearance for more sports bars. Plenty of big screen TV’s upstairs to see whatever sporting event is on.Beer options are plenty, as too was the vast collection of liquors along the backside of the bar. The menu offers options for any mood: Pizza, calzones, Stromboli’s, pasta, subs, hamburgers, gyros, wings, wraps, salads, tacos, and full entree Mexican options…it’s mixed bag and really more options than anyone would need. But, if you don’t know what you want to eat, odds are you’ll find it on their menu.I ordered the chicken gyro with chips. The chips were crispy and delicious as advertised in other reviews. The gyro had good flavor but the tenderness was too overcooked - chicken was too dry, but that is common among most restaurants because they want to make sure it’s done (the USDA has people overcooking chicken with their recommended internal temps). I followed up with an order of teriyaki chicken wings that were cooked to perfection - crispy! In fact, they were so good, I forgot to take a picture. I’ll definitely be back to try several other items on the menu.“
“So I came here with my family. We were going to get some Chick-fil-A but then when I looked at the menu I decided that I could not afford the food. It was like $10 $11 minimum for like the smallest amount. Like the the least you could pay of this place I like the staff I've seen them for the majority of my life, but to be honest with you, I cannot swing this price anymore. I'm just never going to come back here because it's too much money.“
“Our waitress was awesome! Ryleigh Smiley - appropriate name for her. She never stopped smiling, checked on us frequently, made great suggestions for our meals, and she is a great sales person. Ryleigh suggested a fried cherry pie that was delicious. We traveled to Asheboro for a cousin's funeral - emotional day - Ryleigh was a blessing. The food was great. Thank you Ryleigh for taking the time to make our sad day better.“
“Always a great experience! Vanessa and the other server’s are always great and extremely friendly. Food is Awesome! Haven’t tried a single thing that I didn’t like. Highly recommend the brownie sundae for dessert. Gotta check this place out if you haven’t already!“
“If you're in town for any event at the Spectrum Center. This is a great location to stay (right next door and a two minute walk to main entrance). The staff was wonderful and super nice (shout out to Tiger and Scott for being awesome!). The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable (no backache the next morning ?). There were a few things that didn't work (outlets, makeup mirror light, missing coffee machine [there was coffee though...], but not deal breakers in light of everything else. Bathrooms could use a refresh and the ADA bathrooms should really offer bidets (super helpful to folks with mobility issues). All that being said, would definitely stay here again for any future events. ?“
“We loved this place. The burgers and the chicken souvlaki were very good. The ice cream and milkshakes were also good. It has a nice large seating area inside and out. We would definitely visit again!Vegetarian options: My daughter had tomato soup and grilled cheese.“
