Well Played Board Game Café

They double charged my card. Added a tip after I checked out. Food was super bland and sandwiches were bare. It was like paying for bread with a hint of meat. They charge $7 per person to play the board games even though it doesn't say it on site. The whole place is a rip off. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME!

I’ve been waiting for about 30 minutes to be served by a waiter and they haven’t even come to my table. Went up to the counter twice and asked if I needed to order there, they just told me to go sit down and wait for someone.

Had a lot of variety of board games with a clear difficulty system marking them, had a big menu though only tried drinks and popcorn, had trivia going on and while it was loud they did turn down the speakers when asked and checked in on us, the only issue we had was that the ordering system is a bit annoying where you rely on members of staff coming up to you to ask if you need anything and if they don’t come for a while you do have to go out of your way to get them, I wish there was an ordering system in place on a tablet or maybe a marker to put up to show your table wants help

So fun! First one I had been to but a family member said that this one was the nicest they had been to. I was disappointed with the service though. We stayed for several hours, about 5 to be exact. It felt like for the 4-5 staff members that were on staff during that time we hardly had anyone walk by our table in order to order drinks or food. And we only had someone actually stop by our table and ask one time in those several hours. If I’m being generous maybe twice if I’m neglecting to recall one. This is sad as it is a big feature of theirs to have a cafe and drinks.

The vibe in here is awesome! It was a really fun experience to chill out and play games. Our server was very nice, but she was so busy that we never saw her and we couldn't get her attention when we needed her

Food and coffee aren’t good, and it’s just way too expensive it costs $10 per person on top of the food and drink prices just to play a board game. You’re better off buying a board game from the store and getting takeout somewhere else.

I'm here regularly and can't say enough good things. The food is good, the service exemplary. And after Hurricane Helene, they opened up as a gathering place for the community, free of charge.
Go here, you won't be disappointed.

Amazing business in the best times - even better in bad times!

In the midst of the devastation from hurricane Helene, well played is not only open for free gaming, so important to our family, but was also providing free snacks (as long as they were available), and water.

I can't say enough how great the staff is. Their culture really shows in times like these.

So much fun!

We’ve been here twice when touring UNC-A with our oldest child. Both times were a blast! Fun to play, eat, drink, especially during hot or rainy weather.
