“Left White Lake to return home to Greensboro. I love mom and pop type shops and had wanted to try Big Daddy's. I went out of the way to try them on the way back to Greensboro, I am glad I did. When I arrived in Autryville, I was convinced that google gave me bad directions. Little store front in the middle of nowhere. Walked in and just loved the old store full of friendly people. They had good food and good prices. Fed 4 of us for about 25 bucks. The combination of a rural setting and good, friendly people, and a laid back environment makes this place somewhere I will visit anytime I visit white lake. Small family owned places like this with good food are hard to find, I will be back in the future and encourage others to travel to Autryville and enjoy the small town charm you will find here.”

“I stopped in for a wedgie. (I’m from pa so getting a wedgie down here is so awesome) I didn’t catch his name but my cashier (I think they might’ve been the manager) was amazing. Called me by my name. Made sure my order was cooked with Italian dressing and banana peppers (the yinzer way). They made sure I had extra Italian dressing 😊They provided the nostalgia I needed today. Thank you I needed it today. My only criticism is they need to wrap the wedgies in foil.”

“I enjoy this Mi Casita restaurant location for lunch when working in or near this area. The food is delicious and lunch specials are great with an excellent variety of options. Staff are friendly greeting you when you enter. Service is great and drinks are refilled promptly.”

“Today I visited Escape 58 in Wade NC. I live nearby and pass through this area on a regular basis. The place is very clean and quiet because they had just opened for the day at 5 pm. There were two other customers and myself so it was quiet and peaceful. It was 100 degrees today so I stopped in for a cold drink and went home. My server was friendly. I didn't order food.”

The food at Melecios in Stedman is fantastic (fresh, flavorful, and great portions), but the service is the real star here. The team went above and beyond to make us feel taken care of. “Consistency is the key to being exceptional at anything…and these folks understood the assignment ?Been coming back for seconds and thirds… for 25 years and counting. No matter what side of the highway they set up shop I will keep coming back at every chance possible They have amazing food and such a huge selection you will definitely find something for everyone. I have been happily working my way around the entire menu, never eating the same thing twice. I can only make it there once a week, every time I go I eat it for 3 days straight and it never gets boring ???? ?????☕️??”

“Eat here often, a customer walked in, which I believe was an off duty employee started handling all the cups and rearranged them it appeared. Her hands were all over them no gloves. Very unsanitary and no one behind the counter said anything. Glad I bring my own water bottle.”

“The food was hot and delicious. I asked for extra ketchup for my big hit ham and cheese with fries. I pulled over to eat, and there was not any ketchup in the bag. I pull up to go inside to get some ketchup at 8 p.m., and the doors are locked. I had to get back in the drive-thru line behind the cars already there. I get up to the window, and she's says $28.44, and I tell her I did not get any ketchup. I finally, after 10 more minutes after getting my food, I finally git the ketchup I originally asked for.”
