“Fantastic coffee shop and local spot. James is knowledgable and friendly. Definitely gives a homely, old town vibe. Coffee was awesome as well as their baked goods (brownies.)Only negative? I wish we lived closer.”

“Unexpected to find pad Thai in a place called pizza and subs. It was delicious, service was quick and the little tables out on the sidewalk were shaded and comfortable. Looks like they do a lot of takeout business.”

“First, let's talk about the food. My love and I started off with the kani cream cheese appetizer. Our first time trying it and we both fell in love with the flavor. We had both gotten the steak with asparagus. I got mashed potatoes, he got a baked potato. The steaks were cooked to perfection. They were so juicy and tender. There was this spectacular gravy that came with the potatoes that I was not expecting.(Side note, the potatoes are real, def not boxed potato's that I've seen in some "upscale" restaurants.) The portion sizes are amazing. I easily have enough for dinner tonight as well. Food is def a 10/10. The service was exceptional. Our server Alex was really awesome. Our drinks never got empty. She was kind and courteous. 10/10 customer service. Lastly the atmosphere. The place was very clean and the music was on point. I loved the authentic feel the music lent to this place. You can tell this is a family owned business that really cares about the quality of service and food. Will be coming back way more often. 10/10 on the atmosphere. Last side note is this place has the best chicken wings I've ever had. We didn't get them this time but will def next time.”

“Passing through town and ate here due to great reviews. They def live up to the hype! I ordered the deviled eggs and salmon and all were so good! I think that was the best lemon dill butter I’ve ever had and wish I’d gotten some to go! I hope to find a reason to visit again soon. Thank you Courthouse Tavern!”

“We hit a little “bump in the road” with our Christmas BBQ order, but, let it be known that Log Cabin BBQ went far, far above - and - beyond to remedy the matter. This is an excellent restaurant in every regard. We can’t say enough good things about their customer service, BBQ, and footlong hot dogs. Log Cabin BBQ is unquestionably NUMBER ONE.”

“First time visiting. Relaxed atmosphere in country setting. Don't let the outside appearance fool you. Enjoyed a great, well seasoned ribeye with a "just off the charcoal " taste. No steak sauce needed. Also had good burgers and pizza. Worth driving down Stokes Ferry for a neat night out.”

“I was visiting Troy to hike and go kayaking. I went to this establishment Friday and Saturday nights. It was awesome. The drinks and food are wonderful. I loved the fried mushrooms and boneless wings. Going again this weekend. A nice get away from the big city.”

“Amazing food and atmosphere! We went last week for a late birthday dinner and they even saw in the reservation that it was this week and brought me a special birthday drink. The staff was so friendly and informative, definitely a place we needed in down town! We had the penthouse pizza and the sausage balls for and appetizer. We will be back thats for sure! ❤️”

“I’m not from Albemarle so today I had to work Albemarle I do healthcare transportation 6 AM in the morning 630. Little lady I was taken to dialysis didn’t have breakfast and I said well I can stop and get you something. You gotta eat before you so I googled winks that’s what she wanted. I did not know they did not take debit cards but let me tell you the hospitality I got in that place this morning was unbelievable. The girl says well you can come back and pay later, even after I told her I wasn’t from here, so the gentleman sitting by the register payed for her food thank you I didn’t think people did that anymore so freaking awesome but needless to say I’ll be in Albemarle all day so hopefully I can get by ATM and swing back in there and pay for my food and maybe for the gentleman food tomorrow for him to pass it forward because it was a blessing for The lady she had to eat before she went to dialysis so a big shout out thank y’all!!! If This is the hospitality, Albemarle throw out I’m moving to Albemarle just saying”

“lived in Albemarle since 1976 and my wife and I go here with her family and I order seafood platter, which was $24 and the oysters were undercooked and the crab looked more like a flat tire... Sorry but y'all can have it. tea wasn't easy to get refills either and I drink a lot of tea. waitress didn't come around enough as should've. And all this time I thought the place was excellent just by observing the cars there, then I finally went. We had around 25 people there.”

“My son decided last minute he wanted a soccer birthday cake. I called at 230 and was told the cake would be ready at 4! I was NOT expecting anything super special, but the cake was amazing. My son said it’s the best one yet! We loved it. The customer service and food is amazing!”

“I've passed this place many times but never stopped, it was either too early or too late. My buddy larry said they only serve hotdogs, hamburgers and beer, so I asked how was the food and he said he'd never eatin there or been in there, that kinda made me scratch my head and look at him kinda funny. Whenever I make it that way, I'm gonna stop in for some vittles and check em out, even pick up a menu for my buddy larry..”
