“First, our waitress was top notch and added to our celebration by offering to photograph us. Ambience was perfect. I was disappointed with the limited selections available as I had previewed the dinner menu on-line and didn't see a separate luncheon menu. The fries were delicious. My husband asked for well done burger, but it had “pink” inside which he doesn't like. My shrimp tacos were tasty, but I would have liked more slaw topping. The lovely day and location on water did add to the overall experience.“

“Great beach bar with affordable drinks and excellent service! Be sure to bring your ID—and even your pup can hang out with you until 9 PM. The only drawback is that there didn’t seem to be any air conditioning, so I can imagine it gets pretty warm in the summer. Still, the atmosphere was awesome, and I’ll definitely be back!“

“Food was amazing. The service was outstanding. The only complaint that I had and they couldn't help. It was those people from Raleigh that wanted to continue to b**** about everything, and thanks to my second martini, I didn't give them a little bit of local redneck, and tell them to go back to Raleigh Like I wanted to, but Yep, Yep, it was an amazing meal. “I know several people have had a few bad experiences over the past year or so. Including our family. We had family just visit last week 5-8th and we had a large variety of items. I must say every was cooked perfectly. Made for a great experience for family that was visiting. Thanks to all. Update May 2023. Using frozen shrimp or at least pre-cooked. Smaller portions. The hush puppies are the only thing to go for. Waitress was wonderful.“

“I would never visit Beaufort and not stop by this place. Don’t let the size or location fool you this is a #1 stop for the best musicians around. Always a good time and the local folks make it fun with their welcoming and friendly smiles and handshakes. I played an Open Mic there last year and hope to play there one day. Do yourself a favor and follow them here on Facebook and stop down for a great time. See YOU at the Backstreet Pub! Cheers!“
