“Got take out pizza and salad. Salads were quite good, but the pizza was PERFECT (from a pizza snob that has tried them all!). We had the Margherita and the sausage with peppers. Both were really good - crust was perfect - thin wood fired oven baked perfectly. Toppings were well proportioned and flavorful.“
“1st time here. When you walk in you are greeted like part of the family. I have special dietary needs and that was no issue with preparing my order. The food was great, the wait staff was excellent.. We had the best experience. The cheesy French bread with homemade ranch was amazing.Dietary restrictions: they can accommodate a low salt dietary restriction“
“Overall quite good, we normally order pizzas and subs. Sometimes the pizzas can be quite good, having a good sauce to cheese ratio and having stable cheese. But other times it will be too saucy and the cheese slides right off and it tastes weird. I don’t have anything to say about the subs since I don’t enjoy subs in general, but I’m sure they’re great. And the cheesesticks? Delicious.“
“Part wine bar, part coffee shop. Popped into Cru on a Thursday afternoon while visiting Beaufort for a conference, and was pleasantly surprised by their wine selection. Fair priced bottles and most of their selection seems to be for folks that know what they're looking for - lots of Old World wines and great vintages. I didn't stay for a flight of wine (it was like 11am and didn't want to be judged!), but the flight prices were a great deal! Pick four wines, and you received a pour of each for half price. Will definitely return when I'm back in the evening, this place also has a full bar and looks like they pull in a cool crowd in the evenings.“
“In store pickup, curbside or home delivery. They have delicious food. Their Gluten Free Pizza is great too.Awesome staff and delivery personnel.Vegetarian options: Its a pizza place. You are offered salads, veggie pizza toppings.Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free Pizza & salad options.“
“Being vegetarian, there was a sandwich on the menu we wanted to try, only to find out they were out of one of the main ingredients. They made the sandwich a different way with olive oil and some other seasonings, and it turned out GREAT!! It was really nice of them to not just say they couldn’t make the sandwich, but to try anyway. Also, excellent coffee and chai!!“
“Got takeout last night from Luigi's and was more than happy with our order. Pizza was delicious with plentiful fresh toppings and tender crust, and Philly cheesesteak was packed with tender beef, peppers and cheese on a soft hoagie. Sooo good! But don't fall asleep on those cannolis. Crunchy shell with a not-too-sweet filling was the finishing touch to our meal. One employee was taking our order while the other employees repeated our order back to him as they were cranking out other customers pies. Was worth the short wait for stellar food. Glad we found this gem!“
“Dude! They don't play any reindeer games!!! Perfect crust, not skipping on the toppings... Literally ate one slice (hubby scarfed down the other 2) and I was like... "I have to tell the world"Best pizza in town, and trust me, we've tried them all! Service was prompt too! Ordered for pick up, told them a time (I had to run errands) walked in the door and saw them cutting and boxing it!Hot and delicious!Thank you! Great local spot!!!“
“Hands down, one of the best evenings we’ve had in years – spectacular cocktails, amazing menu options and stellar service. We were promptly seated on a recent Friday night and greeted by our server who immediately offered us a selection of the nightly drink specials – we opted for the Coconut Margarita and a Mescal Mojito, both were well-balanced and quite boozy. The evening’s dinner specials sounded awesome, and we chose the locally-caught Green Shrimp Pizza as our entrée, but started off with our server’s excellent appetizer recommendations; the Fried Arancini (Italian rice balls with risotto) of the day was served with a wonderfully balanced marinara and basil aioli sauce - perfectly fried, delicate and over the top. Our second appetizer, the Curried Fried Oysters, were one of the highlights of our meal – in a town where most of the seafood is imported and overly fried, Chef Cam’s local bivalves were plump and juicy, and perfectly paired with the Thai dipping sauce. This app could easily be a meal in itself! We decided to split a Spinach Salad for a small upcharge, but ended up wishing we had ordered two instead – the warm made-to-order bacon and egg vinaigrette was refined and a perfect light dressing for the sliced mushrooms, red onions and baby spinach. The meal’s pacing was flawless and our server was wonderfully attentive without being hovering. The timing gave us the opportunity to enjoy the eclectic atmosphere and watch gorgeous plates of food being delivered to nearby diners. The Edamame appetizer, served with multiple flavors of colorful sea salts was a huge hit at the table next to us. The Rosemary-rubbed Lamb Chops and Chicken Pho was also quite popular with the guests seated next to us. Our gorgeous pizza arrived hot and bubbling - the sourdough crust was perfectly charred and had a nice chew, and held up under the weight of the expertly fired green tail shrimp, garlic sauce and basil aioli. The pizza was certainly big enough for two people to share. We’re excited to return and try some of the other protein options, including the steak and Tuscan-style Shrimp pasta. Don’t miss this place – rarely do you find Charleston and Chicago-esque dining in southeastern North Carolina that offers this much attention to flavor and presentation.Parking: Street parking and a large lot nearby“
“This Gem makes you feel like you are at the beach. Great service and excellent food!!. I highly recommend the Kraken Burger with a side of fries. The burger was perfect and the fries were perfectly crisped. My wife ordered a Calzone. It did not disappoint!!!Wheelchair accessibility: Flat surface from parking to door.“
“True New York pizza joint!!!! This place summed up: Great Pizza, Rude staff, cramped limited seating, with trash/bottles/cans stored in the open in a mess everywhere. Like NYC pizza joints? This is your spot! Smells great when you walk in, limited crappy menu options the wall. The older lady at the counter is rude and acts like it ruins her day when you walk in, with one word answers and stares at you. She rolls her eyes at me because I asked for an extra topping. This place is very clean but cramped with almost no seating, small booths/tables, and ingredients and drinks just aired out in the open. 1 crappy small TV you can't hear up in the corner and the guys in the back are mad and yelling at each other. The pizza is large sized, heavy on grease and tastes AMAZING!!!! Tons of parmaseaon cheese and other pizza amenities at the tables and on the back wall. This place is straight out of NYC and it is absolutely recommended!!!!“
“My family and I LOVE Roma pizza! It’s our absolute favorite every time we’re in AB. The garden salad with their house italian dressing is amazing and their pizzas are incredible. This may be my favorite pizza spot of all time and I miss it during the off season!“
“We spend most weekends at our place here in Beaufort. This was our first time ordering from Freschi's. The owner is very friendly. His two sweet young sons were there and took up we us while we waited. We had the Carolina Cheeseburger, Shrimp Creole and Mac and Cheese. Everything was amazing with so much flavor. Looking forward to trying other dishes. I will be adding this to my list of "Best Places to Eat in Beaufort on my Airbnb site.“
