We really enjoyed Foothills Grange while visiting Black Mountain this past weekend. We had lunch and a couple pints there on Friday after a 5 hour drive. They have a great outdoor space with plenty of seating. You have to go up to the bar to place your order but they bring your food out to the table. Foothills Grange is a great place for families with kids and pets, offering a safe and fun environment with a dirt pit for little ones to play in. The food is good, especially the Veggie Burger, although there might be a wait. The restaurant serves great beer, and the outdoor seating area provides spacious views in every direction, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a meal. The staff is friendly and very dog friendly, adding to its welcoming atmosphere. Customers have raved about the Foothills Burger, which has a slight crunch on the edges and is heavenly tasty, as well as the Carolina Dog, known for its delicious snap and amazing toppings. The fries are perfectly fried, soft on the inside, and crunchy on the outside. While the chicken sandwich was a bit dry from over-cooking, the flavors had a good mix of heat and sweet. Visitors should call ahead for hours to ensure they don't miss out on this charming restaurant in Black Mountain.
