We were looking for a place to eat in downtown Boone and almost walked right by this place Busy as all get out at 2:00 pm on a Saturday. We sat at the bar so we could order faster. Short staffed all around. One bar tender who was filling bar drinks as well as table drinks and taking food orders He hustled non stop - Slim thanks for doing a great job. Food was very good. Service was a little slow, but I will wait for fresh food. They have gluten free options. Food is more authentic than the rest of the Mexican restaurants in town. That is a big plus. It is a small restaurant in a bad location because of parking.

We stepped into Macados because we smelled the cinnamon rolls and then decided to eat lunch at the bar. They have a menu with a nice variety of options. I had a Mary Wiseman Breakfast Stout which liked. It had an unexpected spice (hot pepper) flavor mixed in ( couldn't figure out how the name correlated to the flavor).
