“Mint is the best restaurant in the Boone/Blowing Rock area! The food is fantastic, most ingredients from India. Cucumber salad and hot cauliflower appetizer, the saag options are all amazing. The service is attentive, friendly and professional. Aman is the best. He remembers us and makes us feel special plus he makes the most delicious drink - Mango Mojito. Atmosphere is nice, and to top it all off it’s a great value.“

“We ate lunch with our friend here today. We sat on the patio with our German Shepherd. The staff was so friendly. The drinks and food were amazing. “I usually don’t write reviews because…oh, well…time, life…but for Local Lion coffee shop I want to do it because it’s one of the places that truly deserves all the praises. Me and my family are not doughnut fans by any means, we eat a doughnut maybe once a year. We are coffee lovers though (me and my husband, not the kids, lol). However, I got a craving of a doughnut and decided to look for a place that has doughnuts, while being in vacation (we live in Charlotte but we were visiting Blowing Rock/Boone area recently) and found Local Lion on the map. I am so glad I did! The coffee was good, we also bought some custom tea blends from them that are exquisite and the doughnuts were excellent. Something so delicious…I will be dreaming of them for a while and I will definitely go back. Plus the kindness of the people working there…everything makes that place worth checking it out. “My son was screaming while I was ordering, the young girl taking my order ran to go grab him the milk I ordered and waited for me to pour it in his sippy and took the cup back to throw away. She obviously did not have to do any of that and I am so grateful she did because the line was long and it allowed me to wait in line without a screaming baby. Every time I’ve gone to the Wichita Falls location I’ve always had above and beyond customer service.“

“My family and I went to blue deer and we all customized our own icecream sandwiches. The employees were both super nice, quick, and it wasn’t too expensive. We loved being able to pick a different flavor cookie for the top & bottom, and the sandwiches were the perfect size and taste. There’s plenty of seating upstairs and it’s located super conveniently near campus, shops, and restaurants.“

“I was very disappointed. Usually their pizza is excellent this was over cooked and not well made. We ordered it from a delivery service have my granddaughter got a flat bread pizza that she couldn’t even eat she said it was disgusting. Just a suggestion maybe you want to use the mini chocolate chips in your cannolis I think they would be much better than trying to eat the big ones with the cheese mixture. At least they were good. Their house vinaigrette was very good at least I enjoyed the salad!“

“I have always loved Melanie’s. When I was in college it was a special treat. Since moving away after college, it’s a restaurant I try to make sure to visit when we are in town as often as I can. My daughter has multiple food allergies and so eating out can be tricky. Breakfast places can be especially challenging for her. I emailed Melanie’s this week because we were going to be in town for breakfast Saturday and I REALLY wanted to share my favorite breakfast place with her. I got a very fast response, that was clearly knowledgeable about food allergies and helped us with our decision. She got to have Melanie’s for the first time this weekend, it was safe and it was magical for the whole family. They did a beautiful job. My heart and tummy are full.“

“I was in Boone with my sister visiting friends and we needed something tasty to eat. We decided on Pepper's and boy were we not disappointed. From the food to the service we were completely satisfied.
My sister and I had the fried chicken sandwich and it was so tender it basically melted in my mouth. How lucky we were to have happened upon this cute little restaurant. If I should ever find myself back in the little town of Boone I'll be sure to stop by again.“

Between the garlic knots that are literal perfection, the baked wings that are as crispy as if they’d been batter fried, and the deep dish shared, this is a must-try spot for Boone. “I am quite pleased with my experiences at the Boone Baglery restaurant right off of King St, Boone NC. Not only is the name of the establishment in question clever, but the food, service, and atmosphere are consistently superb. Firstly, the food is always particularly scrumptious. Not only do they offer a variety of bagels that can be toasted to perfection, but they offer a variety of cream cheese spreads to compliment these bagels. They also have many different breakfast items to satisfy your early morning munchies. Next, the service. I have never not been greeted with a smile at the Boone Baglery. They also often get extremely busy with business, but do not fail to give you the best customer service experience possible. I just feel in my bones that each and every Boone Baglery employee has a spot in heaven for them. Lastly, the atmosphere. Not only is the establishment located on King Street, but the building itself is quite whimsical. I might also add that the Google Maps profile states that Boone Baglery is LGBTQ+ friendly, which only deepens my approval. I am exhausted of any mistreatment of any group of human, so the acceptance offered by this business only adds to my breakfast immersion. Overall, I would say the Boone Baglery is easily one of the best small businesses and places to eat within the boundaries of Watauga County, NC.
