“Came into Boone for dinner after hiking. We decided to eat here at The Local. Had Brussels Sprouts as an appetizer, which was pretty good, and the Steak and Frites, it was pretty good also. Waitress was awesome, very attentive! Great atmosphere. Would recommend!“

Despite our prompt arrival for dinner, the restaurant was already bustling, and we secured seats at the bar. The service was both cordial and efficient.The culinary experience exceeded our expectations. The dishes were remarkably flavorful and fresh. Noteworthy highlights included the succulent duck leg, the delightful chirashi, and the expertly grilled hamachikama (yellowtail collar). However, the Korean taco fell short due to overly sour kimchi and chewy, lackluster meat.Overall, our visit left a positive impression, and we eagerly anticipate returning to explore more of their enticing menu offerings in the future.“

“Came here with a group of 4 for my birthday dinner and absolutely loved it! Cozy vibe, great food and excellent service. Highlights: Brussel sprouts, Caesar salad, filet and meatloaf. Server was on top of it the entire time. Very knowledgeable on the menu, gave recommendations, and was super attentive throughout the entire meal. Thanks for a great experience!!“

“Very interesting mix of cuisines and I think everything worked really well. I'm not sure if it was a fluke or not but almost everything on the plates were seasoned with the house seasoning and it was extremely salty. Still edible but too much coming from someone who has a very high tolerance for salt as it is. If it wasn't for this, I would have rated it higher.“
“I recently bowled 3 games at High Country Lanes and had a wonderful experience. This is a vintage bowling alley with high tech scoring systems and great video visuals. The staff is super friendly. It’s clean, even the rental bowling shoes are great and the house balls are well organized. We had the pretzel bites and they were awesome. Free refills on the sodas. Full bar available. “This courtyard hotel is a bit nicer then the standard courtyards. The lobby is clean and new with lots of nice sitting spots. We were upgraded to a room with a balcony (gold elite). The staff was very helpful, our room seemed newer as well. Good location near ASU and lots of stores and restaurants within a short drive.“
“Went to Peppers tonight. And wouldn’t believe who we were seated next to… the matriarch herself, Jean Lawson. That woman is a hoot. No wonder they named a sandwich after her!!!!???? She told many entertaining stories that you may be lucky enough to hear, if you meet her at the bar. Did any of you locals know she went by the pseudonym Wild Turkey? Word on the street. ?“
“We stopped going here a couple years ago because the quality of food and service was atrocious. On a whim, we recently decided to give it another shot. Must be new managers or something because this place has done a 180. The staff were excellent and attentive and the food was spot on. We’ve been back twice and each time the service and food has been top notch. If it’s been awhile, give them another chance. They’ve really turned it around.“
“Everyone was so kind. The food was very good and beautifully presented. It was nice to receive bread at the beginning, but that was nothing to speak of. We had the trout, emu and the chocolate torte which was delicious as well. Crazy drive to get there for someone who isn't use to the mountains.“
