We went to Peppers for the first time tonight. Our waiter, Caleb was great!! He was polite, friendly, and brought us everything we asked for quickly.My husband had a burger, he absolutely loved it! He got the curly fries with it and they were perfectly crispy and delicious. I got the turkey croissant sandwich with fried mushrooms, and it was one of the best I’ve ever had! I think we found a new favorite in Boone!
This was our 34th Wedding anniversary dinner night out. We haven't been to Boone for years, so I decided to do a little, Goggle search for a great place to eat. As you probably know, this is often easier said than done. However, the folks who are in charge of publishing such information online for the Boone/Blowing Rock area made my job easier than usual. Went to Peppers tonight. And wouldn’t believe who we were seated next to… the matriarch herself, Jean Lawson. That woman is a hoot. No wonder they named a sandwich after her!!!!???? She told many entertaining stories that you may be lucky enough to hear, if you meet her at the bar. Did any of you locals know she went by the pseudonym Wild Turkey? Word on the street. ?
