“I was satisfied as a customer. Food was good. The only thing I have feedback on was the spicy chicken. I thought that it was a marinated chicken, and it is not. Instead it was regular chicken and it was refilled in front of my face, and then spicy sauce was poured on top of it, and mixed. It’s best to have marinated spicy chicken.“

The salsas brought with the food were both amazing but the spicy roja was absolutely amazing. Such great flavor and a heat you could feel but left you wanting to go back for more. Today was a quick stop for a beer (nice canned and bottled beer selection) and a bite while I ran errands, but I am definitely going to be spending time here working through the menu since I live right up the road.“

But, I ended up trying this Place out for myself. I’ve sat at the Outdoor Dining Area, which I absolutely enjoyed. The Customer Service was good, & the Restaurant has a good bit of space. I’ve felt so relaxed while sitting in their Outdoor Dining Area. I really loved sitting outside. Also, the Food was excellent! My Tacos were great, & the Meats were flavorful & not overcooked. The Rice & Beans were great! Also, their Agua Frescas were excellent, & I definitely loved their Cucumber-Lime Agua Fresca, which is rare to find around most Mexican Restaurants. Mi Rey definitely didn’t disappoint, & I’ve had a great experience. I will definitely return. I think that I’ve found me a New Mexican Spot here in Wilmington. “Got real Carne asada, with real red sauce that actually had heat and flavor, served with some old fashioned tortillas and grilled onions. It slapped! 🌮🔥People complaining about the portions obviously didn’t pay attention to the size of the tacos. Hella carne, all fresh everything. I’ll be trying the other tacos soon.“

“Visited this amazing restaurant for the first time yesterday. Extremely clean establishment with a mouth watering aroma. The staff here are super friendly and courteous. Ordered steak & chicken fajitas. This is by far the best authentic Mexican Food I've ever eaten in my life. Steak was cooked to perfection and the chicken was moist and perfectly seasoned. After eating, I actually went back and ordered the same entrée again to carry back with me to our home in Zebulon, NC. I highly recommend this incredible restaurant. Five Stars!!!!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

We went before 5 pm and the tacos were 2 dollars, only stipulation was you have to buy a drink to get them for the discounted price! Love this place. Very good! Ashley did such a good job composing our meals, I think it was the most beautiful and kindly made chicken salad bowl we’ve ever gotten from Chipotle. Maddy checked us out and made sure we had all the condiments we needed plus bagged us up so our food didn’t spill all over. A truly thoughtful team, with those two upfront. We will absolutely be back to this location because of them!!“
