“We had a big group of family in the last of July and they wanted to eat at 1841. I contacted Vicki that Saturday afternoon around 3:00. Not only did she take our group of 23 on a Saturday evening for dinner but they did an amazing job of getting all of our food out with only one salad missing (wonderful service since they only had 2 cooks that day). They also had a group of 100 veterans out back that they were serving. Great job Vicki and staff! Food is always great and service is amazing! One of my favorite places to go and also to take out of town family to visit!”

“I tried El Batán Restaurant last week with a group of people and I cannot say enough good things about the food and the restaurant! This place is a hidden gem; and everyone said their food was fabulous! I have to agree! I had a Pisco Sour (a traditional Peruvian cocktail) and the Picante de Camarones as my entree off the A La Carte menu. It came with rice and was very satisfying and absolutely delicious! The seasoning was delicate and unlike anything I’ve tasted before. I can’t say enough great things about our meal, the restaurant, and the service (which was friendly, informative, and attentive). We took home two of the three desserts pictured and the Tres Leches (left) was our favorite! I almost hate to say this, because I’ll probably never get a seat there again, but don’t hesitate to take the opportunity to try this Peruvian menu. It’s a little off the beaten path (Hickory address, but really in Bethlehem—a left on 127 right after the bridge) but definitely worth the trip!”

“I’ve been a few times, but never been inside. I have to say what a lovely experience it was so peaceful- If I had more time I would have just sat right there and drank my drink. Definitely will be coming back to enjoy the atmosphere of inside more often! And I’m not sure of what the young lady’s name was working but she was just the sweetest!”

“if you're coming here, it's because you're either old enough to have been going for a couple decades or you had the exact right raising and know what good food and better people are. ive gone here off and on for a few years and the food is always perfect, just how you tell them you want it. “Food was good, the consommé was forgotten so that was bummer.. also the quesa birria tacos were not dipped in the consommé & grilled with cheese like most places typically do. The flavors were there so might try the mexican tacos next time.”

“This place just isn’t what it used to be. Seems every visit I have had lately the service is bad, the drink is bad or both. Today I went thru and placed an order for 7 drinks. To simplify it, I wrote the order down while waiting in line. I pull forward to wait and she brings me the first tray of four and then returns with only 2 more. I showed her my order that I had given the girl at the window and pointed out which one was missing. She then returns to show me the receipt and inform me I didn’t pay for that and needed to get back in line if I wanted to order it. I explained that I physically handed this paper to her and if it was missed I would give her my card to pay for the 7th drink but again I am told to get back in line if I wanted the drink. I left as I had to get my daughter to work and simply didn’t have time to wait once again for the drink that was missed.”
