“Some of the absolute best food around! Merritt’s has now become out “go-to” place for pregame foot before all Tar Heel events! Best burgers/BLTs/pimento cheese/soup and everything else you can think of anywhere around!!! Cannot go wrong with a stop into Merritt’s!“

“We had such a great experience. Lizz was our server and she was amazing!!! This was our family’s first time here and we were celebrating our son for earning straight A’s on his report card. They gave him the most delicious donuts and Lizz made really excellent dish recommendations. We will return for sure!!“

“Classic roadhouse and local bar. I've seen some great bands perform here as well. I especially love the ability to wander around the property, or chill outside on a summer night. Solid staff & easy going people.“

“Nice old gritty yogurt shop, a Chapel Hill staple. Yogurt/cones are great. The sloping, hand rail-less, sharp-edged brick steps are a death trap, no idea how this passes any city standards. But the yogurt is good and you get to watch people trip on the steps as they try to get in and out.“

“Aside from the amazing staff/ownership, the outstanding beer selection and great food consider the fact that they have received 10 consecutive inspection scores of 100.0 which is unheard of! That matters! Think about the last time the tap line was cleaned at your current choice of bar or restaurant. Tap lines are nasty if not maintained. On any given day at TCP you will see them cleaning the line when they change a keg. If you have not seen this at your current top choice you may want to think about what's in your glass. It is not pretty! Oh, and the tap lines are not inspected. TCP does this because it's the right thing to do!!“

“Fabulous food, and very friendly service.
This really is a predominantly takeout location, but I've got to give it 5 stars because they have a huge bottle of hand sanitizer for customers and a candy bowl for kids. It was an ideal takeout experience with an active kiddo in tow.
Kid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendly.“

“I recently photographed a wedding at The Honeysuckle Tea House, and while the rain kept me from exploring the grounds as much as I’d have liked, it’s clear this is a unique and charming venue. The rustic, cozy atmosphere inside made for a warm and inviting setting despite the weather, and the surrounding greenery added a beautiful, natural backdrop. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the event, which made the day run smoothly. I can only imagine how lovely the outdoor areas must be on a clear day—definitely a venue worth considering for anyone wanting a scenic, laid-back space with great hospitality.“

“Fun trivia on Wednesdays at 9pm. Outdoor and indoor seating. Tons of beer / cider on tap. Lively vibe. Super busy on game days. But overall, good energy and a hit. There is a bouncer at the front before getting in so you only need to show ID once. A bit of a line at the bar when it’s busy.“

“Food and atmosphere were wonderful!! It was slow at the time we went which I was hoping for! Unfortunately our server started off wonderful but the appetizers came out very intermittently (we ordered 3). The last appetizer was brought out right before our meal. Our meals did not come out together and I never received a knife to cut my meat even asking several times, the waiter just kept forgetting and I gave up and ate it anyway so it didn't get too cold. It seems once our order was in he just disappeared and the energy and personality he had to begin with stopped. We drove an hour here to celebrate my son's birthday and we were not even offered dessert.“

“The food was fine overall — the fig salad was very good and the affogato was delicious (with caramel sauce-delicioso). The grilled bruschetta didn't seem grilled — it was lightly toasted rather than the charred rustic bread I expected. And I thought there was too much piled on it. I didn't taste the pastas but my table mates enjoyed theirs. The service was superb— sweet and friendly and accommodating. Bravo for Massimo! He made the night enjoyable for us. Eating outside added to the ambience and felt a little more authentically Italian despite “Volare” playing in the background.“

“Visited this location for lunch, and was less than impressed. Our table had the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich w/fries, cream of potato soup, cascade sald, and lavender latte. The sandwich was okay, but lacked the flavor and moistness southern buttermilk friend chicken. The salad was fine. The cream of potato soup, tasted like cream water, lacking actual potato flavor. Highlight of the dish were the fries, which were fantastic. And the lavendar latte was good as well. Service was good, as well atmosphere, but it was quite chilling in the venue, so dress warm.“

“The Mule seems to attract a slightly more mature crowd, and has a relaxed atmosphere. We sat on the front patio and watched a fight on the big screen TV, enjoyed the peppery popcorn and piping hot southern egg rolls, while people chatted around us. My only word of caution: the AC unit inside dripped like crazy all over the floor, but the bartender didn't seem to mind the lawsuit-waiting-to-happen if someone broke their neck walking to the restroom! C'est la vie!“

“The best thing here is the gelato. It’s super high end. Smoothies >$7 latte >$7. Served in to go cups. Not a ton of natural lighting, but some seating decent for working. The gelato is really nice actually, esp spicy mango.
Some outdoor seating.
I have had their smoothies and one of their lattes, Rocky Mountain latte. I asked for less sweet and it was still too sweet to finish.“

“The food was amazing and fresh, but the service was okay but not welcoming or helpful. They didn't help when trying to order, we were the only ones there and just placed our food on the counter not saying a word to us (we were not sitted where the counter was in eyesight) that it was ready. When arriving we didn't know if we were supposed to sit on our own or wait to be seated and once we just sat we didn't know we were supposed to go up there to order at the counter. Nothing there was clear at all, BUT the food was good.“

“Excellent, historic restaurant with 102 years of satisfied customers. Convenient location at 138 Franklin Street. Wide selection of foodstuffs for breakfast, lunch or early dinner.

“Really great variety of Mexican food…on our first visit, we all got the Kahlovera Burrito, recommended by our waiter, and loved it. Definitely want to return and try their margaritas and other dishes. Based on today’s experience, suspect this could be our favorite Mexican restaurant in the Triangle.“
