Shiki Japanese Restaurant is a good place on the edge of Matthews and Charlotte to get sushi. It has a good lunch selection and is voted best in town. The food comes in huge portions. The decor isn't too stunning but don't let that turn you away. You will surely get you money's worth.
I've been going here for a decade... since they opened. They NEVER disappoint. Order "Shiki for two" if you're having date night. I've never eaten a whole lot of sushi here, but their hibachi is ON POINT!! I don't know why this place doesn't have better reviews.

This place is always a safe bet! My husband and I get the Shiki special. You can't beat it: $20 for 2 people and you get a salad, soup & a hibachi dinner that has veggies, rice, shrimp, scallops, steak & chicken. The wait staff is wonderful! Y'all need to go here!!
